No way! When you mentioned in your mew and Mewtwo video that you got a coliseum shiny I was excited but this is like a whole other level! This is such an awesome and hard to get guy, super glad that you got it so below odds. I'm doing my first ever coliseum hunt soon, going for shiny shadow quilava. I was doing resets at the beginning of the game, but I think I'm just going to beat it and then go after him with the master ball so the time is a little bit more efficient. Either way huge congrats on getting this and looking forward to more of your shinies in the future

They are locked in after you beat it. So it cant be shiny ever again..

@@kurenaishurequiemblader4931 I'm aware of how hunting in coliseum works. You just don't beat the guy that you want to hunt later. You just defeat whichever owner of the shadow pokémon that you don't want to hunt is to get out of town and continue through the game, then you continue through the game. In the post game the other two power ranger dudes reappear in different areas and you can encounter them for the first time since you never encountered them back at the beginning of the game. And then you are able to hunt the Johto starters with a master ball, if you watch like 90% of the shiny hunts for these pokémon it takes place in the post game

Well done awesome Shiny, one question: RNG Wise Scizor is shiny locked, so how did you ensure to have advances when you reset for this? Did you walk in phenac city to get there? CHeers

Congrats! May I suggest going for Shiny Shadow Dunsparce next? It would be really cool to transfer it to Gen 9 once they release Pokémon HOME compatibility and see it if evolves into the 1/100 Three-Segment Dudunsparce.

I sadly can't get these Pokemon. But I got a shiny Scyther breed in Pokemon Emerald with Silver Wind (the only good bug move the line gets in Gen 3). I cloned myself and evolved into Scizor. A good choice because Colosseum Shiny Scizor looks great. Congratz on the Scizor.

Congrats! Could you maybe help me out on something? This week I received my Sapphire version with a new battery. So I immediately started to hunt the starters. But do you know if the soft reset hunts do work once the battery's been replaced?

Yup you’re good to go!! As long as you’re not getting the alert “the internal battery has run dry, the game can be played…” you’re good to soft reset!

Thing is, I thought that in this game once you caught a shadow pokemon the game rerolls its stats meaning that you effectively need it to be shiny twice in a row

I exported the gyarados from my master fire red then imported it via PXHex. The shiny animation probably added some time to the reset, but I have no regrets!

I have personally never shiny hunt in Colosseum but to know if it’s going to be a shiny or not you manually have to send it out in battle? I thought the trainer would send it out shiny and then you can snag it
