Part two of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, the Indigo Disk, is officially out! While I did have the opportunity to play a small piece of it a month ago, the Blueberry Academy has a LOT of surprises and a lot of pokemon to shiny hunt for! So let's see how many shinies we can catch in the first two days of the game's release!

Shiny vulpix is definitely easy to tell when you stop moving the camera. I just did an outbreak hunt for them and caught three :) they're definitely more of a yellow than the regular (more red) sprite

"And here we witness the elusive Canadian Wooper in its natural habitat" is what David Attenborough would say! Joltik just hopping around like that is so goofy...I love it. The fact you can unleash Sync Mode and be the goofy Joltik, Wooper, Tinkaton, or even Toedscool we were meant to be in this DLC is incredible. What an amazing feature! And the Lion King reference was chef's kiss. Not the first Lion King reference they did when the Hakuna Matata scene is referenced in the Badlands in New Pokémon Snap! Lion King remains my favorite Broadway musical. I saw it when I was a kid and seeing all the animals move through the aisles next to me and onto the stage during the Circle of Life sequence was absolutely magical. Regarding Popplio, before Scarlet/Violet, you could also get a Popplio in the Sword/Shield Expansion Pass. When you find the Diglett Trainer by the Master Dojo and you manage to find at least a hundred Alolan Diglett, he rewards you with an Alolan starter. If you chose Sobble as your Galar starter, he would give you Popplio!

when she records the video she have 2 feeds one that go directly to the media file and another that gets transmitted to a screen she watches on, this screen got a video effect that saturate the colors a lot which makes it easier to spot shinies she went into that in one of her shorts on tandemaus (iirc), some might consider it cheating but the code have not been modified so the shiny is legit according to the pokemon home app (personally I am not considering it cheating since the pokemon is legit according to nintendo/TPC and the only ones that can really claim something is cheating would be the developer and the publisher)

"Synchro mode is a recipe for a shiny fail" 😔 I was doing a milcery outbreak whilst being gallade, but it seems that my actual character was too far away to get the souless eyed milcery. I have more fails than catches so far now lol Edit: I knew not to get close, but it didn't matter. And for the video to follow up with a similar shiny fail, know that you're not alone.

I somehow managed to get two shinies within about 30 minutes earlier today, a Milcery from when I was trying to complete one of the auto battle bbqs and a Crabrawler when I was trying to find some of the starters in the coastal biome. So when she’s talking about Chargestone cave, I’m not sure if she noticed it, but there was a shiny in that footage. The Magneton in the left part at 3:58 is gold with black magnets. I have never failed to encounter a shiny Magnemite or evolution of same in every gen that had the mon as an encounter and the shiny mechanic.

This DLC is so much fun. My first shiny I found was a random Seadra, because I randomly decided to drop down a cliff and there it was. My second was a horsea that I accidentally ran into, wasn’t paying attention and didn’t realise it was shiny until I ran away, then saw the pink belly. I found a shiny Clefairy just chilling under a tree while I was watching this video (specifically the part where you ran into a shiny pikipek). I recommend hunting a lapras, as the shiny looks so amazing in this game. I love the synchro mode for beating outbreaks. I did also defeat a shiny in synchro mode, but fortunately, I was specifically checking to see if it would, so I had saved beforehand. It is annoying that any shinies you find away from your body will despawn when you desynchronise, but it is very fun being a Pokémon.

Your reactions to the Joltik and Popplio were very similar to my reactions when I accidentally stumbled across TWO SHINIES in the same 24 hours 😂😂 And by "stumbled across" I really mean that... I was playing through the main story for the second time on an alt acc, and I was on my way to like, the second gym. No shiny charm, no sandwiches, no mass outbreak. There was a shiny Shinx just chilling in the middle of the path! Then later, I went to Kitakami after beating a few gyms, and in the mountain area I run straight into a shiny Noibat! Same case, no shiny charm or anything that increases the odds. I was absolutely flabbergasted

I didn't do any hunts in my first catching spree, but I am excited for a couple of hunts like Minior and Alolan Exeggutor :) There are a handful of shinies I've never had in the Terrarium that I'm excited for. Shout-out to Joltik and Golett for showing up randomly while I was catching so I didn't have to hunt them. I also found out about the Synchro Mode shiny murder through unethical experimentation. If we're talking about those catchable static Pokémon that are specifically placed somewhere, my favorite is the water Terra Rhydon hanging out in that water cave in the Canyon Biome,,, it's a VERY specific reference to the swimming Rhydon from the anime and I absolutely adore it so much,,, I named him "Rhyd" cause it looks like it could be pronounced "Red" and I thought that was fitting lol

My first *random* shiny in the Indigo Disk was Alolan Exeggutor. It was a real yellow jumpscare; that was fun. (My first shiny overall was a Duraludon from an outbreak, and my second was another Duraludon from the same sandwich. Naturally I evolved one and now I have the Architecture Brothers.)

I love synchro mode but because its easy to fail shinies with it, I'm scared of using it :( I really want to use it more but I'm really afraid of failing a shiny and there's not much to do with it either. All you can do is walk around and battle other Pokémon but thats it. Thats not really fun tbh. I wish there was more you can do, like play some mini games as your Pokémon. That'd be so awesome. I really hope they expand on this feature in the future

the gen 7 starters were available in the Isle of Armor DLC for SwSh. You had to find 100 Diglett to get one of them based on which starter you picked at the beginning of SwSh; Grookey = Rowlett, Scorbunny = Litten, Sobble = Popplio.

Shiny Snubbull and I was in Syncro mode with a Hitmontop ... while I was at the clear other end of the frozen biome. But the game made it up to me by giving me two shiny Zangoose last night with a single sandwich!

My fastest shiny hunt was a Finizen outbreak in the waters outside the caves under the city with the psychic gym. One spawned literally right after I made the sandwich. I ended up getting three shinies from that sandwich, and then trading two of them for legendaries in the HOME GTS.

I didn't intend to shiny hunt but within 15 minutes of playing and getting access to the coastal area for that one alolan class I wandered to a cave and immediately found a shiny Diglett on the way to the class

Not enough people are talking about the z-lock upgrade for the camera. It shows you if a pokemon can have a mark or is big or small. That chikorita you caught was a tiny shiny!!

The thing is the size indicator means the pokemon is at least a good sight smaller or bigger than average :/ i kinda wish it only showed it for mini and jumbo pokemon

Me and my boyfriend were doing group quests so he could get the Violet exclusive legendaries for the DLC while I could get the ones exclusive to Scarlet. The ditto block quests in the Polar Biome were so annoying and at one point, both of us almost had a breakdown due to the frustration...

I caught a random shiny Johto Wooper literally the day before the Indigo Disk came out. I failed a Snorunt the day before (it despawned before I got to it) and the Wooper was just staring at me whilst I was collecting items :) (I also got a random shiny Pawmi and Floette today so apparently my luck with the Shiny charm is amazing-?)

I low key have already had 4 full odds shinies in the terrarium. Cotonee, araquanid,Seel and cinccino. All of them were because i wnadered around the terrarium. Cinccino was because i checked a "?" Outbreak and he just be chillin there

The way i found out about pressing the joy con sprint: after defeating the klawf titan they LITERALY TELL YOU "PRESS ON THE STICK TO SPRINT" Because thats how you unlock it.
