A short vibe check video testing how it feels like to be inside a ship in many different situations while the ship is being crashed into by either a missile or another ship as well as general crashes seen from the interior of the ship on Space Engineers 2

that looks pretty nice. a bit of smoke or something could help. like a dust cloud thrown out of the block if it breaks apart. (armor probably not, since it doesn't really "break")

Yeah c= I think they'll refine the effects further as development goes x3 ♥ I did see some effects like electric sparks before but it was kinda weird xD probably because the grid was going at max speed though

I see that destruction lag is still a thing. I understand why, but I kinda hoped SE2 might have figured a clever way around it.

I noticed there is no permanent debris, such as scrap metal or a temporary container. I wonder if they will add it later or remove that mechanic to save on performance?

Yeah the floating fractured debris are all temporary effects u wu I think actual detached blocks debris will still act like they do on SE though x3 where their despawn parameters are set by the server or admin c=

I'd be curious to see if there's a difference in damage taken for a 'large grid' block vs the same size block made up of a bunch of 'small grid (25cm)' blocks.

Would be cool if the fragments remained and actually had physical mass. Lots of shrapnel flying around, so you have to consider that when designing ships. Plus you could recycle the damaged components.

That would be cool yeah c= and if we can then salvage it and stuff yeah x3 they might do something like that as they optimize the engine and game further maybe u wu ♥ we'll see x3

1000 pcu for a little hole. Anybody knows the scale compared to 1st one?

Can't tell for sure since the PCU limits might differ too so we can't do 1:1 comparison even if we know the PCU values of all the things x3 I'm sure it won't be too limited though c=

In SE2, you slow down faster than you accelerate. I hope to fix it with mods.

It’s probably because the inertia dampeners use 100% of thrust while the “w” key for example, it will be like 80% thrust. I know SE1 is like that
