For the last formula please check correction of values. TM (tonnes-meters)= Tc (cm)*1 (meter)/100 (cm)*MCTC (tonnes)

difference between cof and cog??
@sailorstube32598 жыл бұрын
+Prabh DhiLLoN COG is the point where weight force acts vertically downward. For uniform weight distribution it is the geometrical center of whole ship. COF is the point about which the ship trims. This is the geometrical center of water plane area .... Not the whole ship. Now, imagine a box shaped vessel 8 m deep. If you look in transverse direction , distance of COG from keel , KG = 4 m. Suppose the draft of this vessel is 6 m. Than distance of COF from keel will be 6 m . COF is at water level. Hope this answers your question.

initial DRAFT 6 m Aft 4 m Bow TRIM is 2 m by the stern 5.5 m AFT 4.5 m Bow TRIM should be 1 m by the stern
@sailorstube32599 жыл бұрын
@ 4.00, if you notice, with initial drafts F= 4 m, A= 6 m, Initial trim is 2m by Stern and with final drafts F= 4.5 mm A= 5.5 m, the final trim is 1 m by Stern. However, here I am talking about change of trim or trim caused. If the trim is reduced from 2 m stern (initial) to 1 m stern ( final) or change of trim from more stern to less stern, ship is having a change of trim (difference of trims ) of 1m by head . And that is why I have written trim caused 1 m by head. This value is algebraic difference but the naming will depend how the ship is trimming. From more stern to less stern, means there is a change of trim in forward direction (or by head). Thanks for question and I feel I should have described this further in video .

how did you calculate the controlling trim?
@sailorstube32596 жыл бұрын
Well, I assume that you are asking for calculations dealing with keeping trim constant or another factor. Will upload soon on the topic, which is advance level. Stay connected. Cheers!
