Shipping Container Homes for Homeless - Affordable Housing in Los Angeles, California. In this video, we bring you a shipping container studio apartment in Los Angeles, California. Watt Works is a new housing project supporting formerly homeless individuals. The building comprises 58 repurposed shipping containers stacked four stories high to create 25 micro-living studio apartments. Of those 25 units, 24 are dedicated to the homeless, while the remaining is a one-bedroom manager's apartment. The building also includes a community room, a laundry room, service provider offices, and long-term bicycle parking.
