fun anime love er Yeah, even then, it can cross a line, but I’ve “shipped” ironically before, and the people (both my friends) knew that I was joking, so they were cool with it. I think that it’s fine to ship light-heartedly and support relationships, but I don’t cross into diehard/fanfic/fanart/blogger territory. The main people that come to mind for me actually did date for a while, but when they were through, I shut up for the most part. I was kinda upset, as their friendship took quite a hit with their break up, but I wasn’t panicked about them not dating anymore. Eventually, I made them talk it out. Like, not so they were together. I just needed things to be less cold and awkward. I cared about both of them and wanted to make sure that they could still face one another as friends. They’re back to being friends now, even if they don’t see each other often, and both are in their own relationships now, which I mostly support. Maybe it was selfish and creepy, but I wanted to make sure that there weren’t any more grudges in the end, and it seems to have worked out that way.

As much as I love Hamilton, I think it’s just disrespectful to be imagining the historical figures as ships. I feel like it sort of tarnishes their names in a way. This is just my opinion, but still. While I listen to the soundtrack and have seen the play, the fandom tends to be very overwhelming. These people are not dolls that can placed together as one pleases, these are real human beings who were very much so alive. I have a deep hatred for real life shipping. Shipping with fictional characters already gets intense and toxic enough. Why does real life human beings need to face not only the same treatment, but spend years as the target? It's horrible. Like.. at least on the internet you can at least block the people and move on. While in my case.. My own mom kept constantly shipping me and embarrassing me whenever I was talking to a male friend. (I am a female btw) Every time I was talking to someone who is a very close friend.. and a guy.. my mom would ship us and even go as far as like: "I already can see half American grandkids roaming around" (because most of my friends are north Americans.. while I'm south American, that might explain why my English is not good in this comment) Welp... my mom really really wants me to have kids, she wants grandkids so bad. So she ships me with every guy I'm talking to and get super along with.. and does these comments about grandkids.. I'm don't even like kids!. The problem is the shipper.. is my own fucking mom. I really cannot get behind how people can ship two living, breathing, thinking human beings together. I remember being shipped with one of my good friends BY my other friends, they made a ship name for us and every time we would be talking to each other, here my other friends would come, talking about how we should date each other. Needless to say, things became awkward between us and we slowly distanced from each other and were no longer friends. So if you do, please stop shipping real people, it's really uncomfortable and can ruin friendships, among many other things.

I'm a straight girl, and I had a friend who liked me. I told her over and over that I was straight, but she would say, "I wish you were bi" It made me uncomfortable. She told me her friends shipped us, and I can't tell you how uncomfortable it made me feel.
