I like how as you play more into the secrets, you get the implication that the Bucky you play as seems to be alive. While you might feel bad for him that he's forced to get dragged along into what you're trying to uncover, but also helps into the horror aspect that someone else is getting unsettled here as much as you.

It almost reminds me of how Deltarune uses the fact that you're controlling someone in the game. In Deltarune, you control Kris (a character in the game) and you make them do interactions they probably don't wanna do, and especially can make them ruin their life. It's kinda like how Bucky is implied to be in this game. He's alive and all, but technically he isn't in control of his actions. You control where he goes, so you kinda control him to make him discover the dark truth behind his reality/world. With that in mind, it's a bit more scary to think that in Bucky's eyes, he's the only one getting traumitized and being moved to uncomfortable places by someone controlling his body. He doesn't know the player is just as unsettled as he is.
