Shirakami Fubuki: Fubuki learns a foreign pick up line

Back during Fubuki's hunt for the shiny golden Magikarp, Fubuki had a lot of things she talked about. During one of the streams, some foreign fans tried to bait her into the ol' "Will you marry me?" trick, and actually got her. Expand for translator's notes. 0:08 - "kekkon shite kudasai" is normally written like this: 結構してください for anyone wondering. It was a little awkward writing romaji into the subs directly, but given the subject matter, that's what made sense to do, at least for me. The variations of this that Fubuki uses afterward are just things like "Marry me" vs. "Please marry me?" vs. "Please, will you marry me?" 0:17 - I pulled this line from the dub version of FMA since I don't know what the official subtitles say for it. It's pretty much an exact 1:1 translation though. Fubuki didn't mention the part about equivalent exchange so I left it out. 1:05 - I wondered if I should sub the English Fubuki says with more grammatically correct English, but I figured people would get thrown off listening to English words with subtitles saying slightly different English words. But Fubuki was just missing stuff like "is" from "My girlfriend is Mio" and stuff like that. On that note, Fubuki really likes fanart of housewife Mio x Fubuki, especially when it's set with like, a samurai Fubuki theme lol. Back when Sakuna was really popular, Fubuki actually requested art of eating Mio's homemade rice, which led to a lot of FubuMio feudal era fanart. Now that Fubuki is playing Sekiro, some people have started drawing more Rice Wife Mio x Samurai Fubuki. 1:36 - The original line here is just ごめんな、すまんな, which more literally would be two variations of "sorry." The nuance behind it is like, "Sorry, but it is what it is." so that's why I went with the translation I did. 2:11 - "Big Kusa" is an ongoing joke among the English fanbase of the hololive community. I normally localize these jokes, but I felt like this needed to be kept as is, as it's something English fans use to connect with the Japanese talents. If you haven't already learned about "kusa" from watching vtubers (or reading about it somewhere), "kusa" is grass in Japanese. It's net-slang for laughter. IIRC, when Japanese hololive members were wondering how to translate "LMAO" from English to Japanese, fans offered "big kusa" as a way to understand it, and it stuck. 3:17 - In case anyone thinks "Oof" is too memey for Fubuki to say, Fubuki loves memes. She'd definitely be the type to say "oof" lol. On that note, slightly related, but I remember Hakui Koyori mentioning the "Fs in the chat" meme during her Pokemon BP playthrough. I can't believe Koyori knows that meme. 3:25 - What does the fox say? I normally don't put subtitles like this where it's just something like "____ noises" or whatever, but I wasn't actually sure if people would understand Fubuki is making actual fox noises here. On top of that, my test audience thought it'd be funnier with it, so I included it in the final draft (it was missing from the rough draft).

That's usually what I see other subs doing when parts of a sentence are missing, and it seems fine to me.
