Hello lovelies! I got a comment that I'm talking too slow and that I should talk a bit faster. I do appreciate this tip and completely understand it! I just wanted to adress this very shortly, please be patient with me! English is not my first language and I still have to figure out how to talk in front of the camera. I have only done a few videos so far and I don't know if you guys ever made a video in a language that is not your mother language, but it needs practice. I'm not fluent and sometimes I have to think about certain words or phrases a bit longer. I could easily make these videos in German (which obviously would be easier for me) but since the most of my audience are from different countries, I want to do it in English. I want to create good content for guys and I think the more videos I make, the better it'll get! Thanks for reading and see you soon x

I was like „oh i understand her so well 🥰“ and then you talked about going back home to Germany and „ahhhh deshalb versteh ich sie so gut!“ 😬
@cianap.2815 жыл бұрын
I'm a native English speaker and your speed is fine, even if English was your native language. It's also not necessarily a disadvantage that English isn't your native language because it forces a person to get to the point without tons of little rambling asides and filler "uhh, um, ohmygod, you-know-what-I-mean, oh-hang-on-my-hair-looks-wierd-let-me-fix-it-what-was-I-saying..." If English is a native language it can be hard NOT to do that.

I love that you emphasized that there are no rules! I love lovely feminine fashion, which is sorely lacking in modern clothes. However, I don't plan on wearing 100% vintage all the time. I am really going for a timeless look with a vintage twist. I think this will give me the most freedom to really mix and match and have fun with different decades.... especially since there is no way I can give up wearing blue jeans at least occasionally lol. But I can wear a classic cut pair of jeans with a scarf, trench coat, and vintage hair and makeup and it would be a nice blending of modern and vintage!

You are my favourite vintage - fashion account on instagram. I'm 19 and I still lack the confidence to wear vintage clothing, as I go to a small sixth from where there isn't much range of fashion style. I sometimes feel so costumey and when i have worn stuff, some people have treated me and have told me that i look like a novelty/oddity as if I am going to a fancy dress party. Wacthing this video and looking at your instagram posts, helps bulid my confidence to wear more vintage in sixth form. So thank you so so much!

I am a person already something old (I was born in 1981), but I have always thought and felt that curiosity of having lived in the 50s ... I love all that kind of details that existed in the house, the constructions, even the style with the one created by the cars. One of my favorite colors is mint green, even in my office I have been integrating details of that type and color, without affecting the functionality of my devices or medical instruments. I love how you look with your outfits, it's just great how you do it. I feel that if you were born at that time, you would have been one of the most beautiful women of that time. The freshness of your being, and your beauty adorned with vintage paraphernalia, really makes you look spectacular ... You really fall in love with me !!!! I send you a big hug, a kiss with all the respect of the universe, and I wish you to succeed in everything you do!!!!!

Then I looked up 1950s style and I was like “wow, this is the clothing I’ve been looking for” I’m more of a bun and braid person too. Recently I’ve been dressing more how I want and it’s fun. 🥸

It's very interessting to see that someone else had quite a similar vintage journey 😂 I first fell in love when I took a sewing class at our local theater and there was a shelf with nothing but burdas. The old ones, from the 1950s on. I was 11 at the time (maybe 12?) and I lover those dresses - but just like you, I had no idea that wearing Vintage was actually a thing. Luckily I could wear Swing Dresses anyway for dancing, but after a few years, I found out that Vintage style was something people wore and I tried to incorporate it in my everyday style. Not very practical though, especially if you have to go to school by bike and its freezing outside. So I mainly stuck with Vintage-y hair and got a lot of compliments for that - and then I went to London for a year and tadaa, wearing vintage on the street does not even get you any strange looks. I think it was then that I really wanted to wear it but I just didn't have time, unless it was for Reenactments 😂 Only now that I've moved to Vienna I have time and patience to do vintage every day - and I've also come to realise that it is perfectly fine if you don't feel like dressing up sometimes. Another realisation that took me a while,and maybe even stopped me from doing Vintage before. Now, the point of this is that I think a lot of people who wear vintage - or want to - have a simmilar journey and it's very nice that someone is talking about that :) Enjoy the carneval holiday!

Thank you very much for that big amount of brands (I already knew a lot of them... and I LOVE THEM). I began to dress in a retro style not many time ago, although I had a "reto style", mixing medieval style, gothic, romantic... all my life. I'm a teacher, and, you know what? My students ADORE my style, then always ask me about it (there are a group of little girls that I even didn't know before, because they are in the Primary Levels and I'm in the Secondary School) that call me "The Princess" and "The Lady in Beautiful Dresses". I adore that, not only for me... I'm 43 and I`m not precisely slim... And I think it's sweet and important for them to know that... A PRINCESS CAN BE AN OVERWEIGHTED WOMAN IN HER 40s .

You are so inspiring! I didn't know you have youtube account! I've been following you on Instagram for several months and I have to admit that your style is the most "authentic". Better, when I see your photos, I see a pure genuine vintage style. Like in this video: you are able to put on some stuff like a pair of trousers or a pencil skirt and a white shirt and voila. I really adore you. Moreover, what you've said in here.... i could have done this video, really. I have processed (in a psychological way) what you said since I was in middle school (11-13 years old). There, I figured out that I wasn't born to swim in the flow.. then... well, being a teenager isn't so easy in any case, you know. But when you meet maturity, well you have to face who you are, too. *especially who you are. That's why you are so inspiring: being into vintage style.. it is not just a way of "dressing up". Its something that's way deeper than it. That's why - I think - the process tend to be slow in great part of who loves this style. It could be interesting doing some "meetings" all together to know each other, to see what people went through etc.. I don't know if there is already something on the internet etc.. I just know that I've never seen a vintage Italian profile. You know some community on socials? What about events? Btw, I'm still working on my closet to create everyday looks. I'm stucked in that phase where I create some random vintage outfit just because there is a special event or because I'm in the mood. Or I have time. My problem is that I'm becoming a nurse and i always have to get ready really fast (even to hang out). The second problem is...... money. Big problem. REALLY THANK YOU FOR READING ME SINCE HERE. I'm sorry if I wrote that much but this video opened a pandora vase, and I know that you and others can sympathize what I've said.. I'm not spamming: on Instagram I'm fedesoddi, if you want to have a chat (any one of you), I'd like it.

I personally adore swing dresses (Zara even has a floral one in their 'new in' that is loooovely and super 50's inspired) but I also like to mix it with some more modern things - sometimes even with a leather jacket, believe it or not and I love it! And actually that's also what I also love about your instagram page, is that is has the vintage feel without being too much, which makes it super relatable and one of my favorites for inspiration! Thank you also for sharing the brands, because sometimes it's hard to find good vintage things, depending on where you live and the vintage shops nearby. Sending you lots of love sweetie ❣😘

Alles an deinem Look ist soooo wunderschön. Ich persönlich liebe Aspekte der Vintage Mode. Besonders die Accessoires und die Haarstyles. Dein Kanal ist super and your English is very good. Don’t get discouraged by the negative people.

You're so lovely and beautiful. I think my story of my 'style development' is kinda similar to yours. I don't exactly wear all vintage but I love and absolutly adore the elegant vibe that comes with it. I personally wear a lot of vintage inspired dresses or blouses combined with modern pants or skirts. I'm all about looking elegant and graceful xD. I was very insecure back then and developing my own style really helped me gaining more confidence😊. I like to stick out in a group of people with my style I guess? Anyway I want to say you're really pretty and I would love to see more videos of you in the futur. Keep going! ☺️ Btw ich spreche auch deutsch und dein Englisch ist ziemlich gut!

Tolles Video 😺💝, vieles was du erzählt hast, hat mich an meine eigene Geschichte erinnert.

Hi! After years and years feeling awkward in my clothes, at my 23 years old I found vintage fashion and you inspired me!! So thank you sooooo much! I finally feel happy and pretty in my clothes! I have a little problem, my hair is very straight, veeery straight and I can't curl, do you have any recommendations for hairstyles for straight hair? Also I have a problem with vintage shoes, where do you buy your pretty shoes? I saw that you have some shoes from Charlie Stone shoes and they seem great but buying online is risky and they are quite expensive, are they worth it? Please continue your videos! They are awesome and very helpful! Big hugs from Spain!

Hey Shirin! Great videos with wonderful inspirations! And your rate of speaking is perfect. By the way, may I ask, where did you get the black trousers with the buttons on the side? It's really beautiful and very elegant...

Any advice for men looking at vintage? I get the feeling that vintage on guys stands out in public more, and I personally find that very uncomfortable
@SafiShamrock5 жыл бұрын
I think you can slowly start with hair and accessoiries. Maybe suspenders or a bowtie, a nice simple shirt with a collar, a fresh haircut, proper shoes. It won't stand out too much but it will make you look classy in a vintage sort of way. Hope this helps!

Maybe start with some timeless looks with a vintage twist. At the end of the day, though, dress for yourself and don't worry about what other people think. Honestly, everyone is more concerned about themselves than other people. I don't know which decade you are interested in, but I think a Don Draper inspired vintage look always works well for men!
