I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Shirley Bassey locally at a concert over a decade ago at East Farleigh and at Leeds Castle. A rather special experience on both occasions, to which I will always remember. A professional and a truly great singer. Every James Bond theme tune that Shirley sung, of which there are many, unlike the solo artists/bands of today are more memorable than anything else that any one has to date, offered and delivered. Home grown talent, and with the great John Barry of England whom wrote/orchestrated so many of all the great Bond Film Theme Tunes, has delivered so many exceptional and inspirational songs across the board. Truly the original "Diva"! Infact that term was originally introduced/ used because of Shirley Bassey.

4:00 until the end of this song used to tear my heart to pieces because I had recently broken up with my ex and I'd hear that on the radio, thinking of the future with her that would never happen. It'd sometimes bring so much pain to me that I'd have to bite my bottom lip and clench my fist so that I'd not burst into tears in front of whomever I was talking to at the time, but you can bet I burst into tears when I was alone. That was the most painful week of my life... Luckily we're back together and are truly making it work!

+senior1110 Turns out she wasn't worth it. Caused me too much pain and then tried to say sorry too many times. I can't believe that I actually allowed her to manipulate my feelings like that, the prey on them but the second time I just stopped caring to be honest. People like that will always be alone... You promise to never give up on them but they so easily give up on you. I wish her the best but her issues will always destroy any happiness she finds sadly. Better off without her and I don't even miss her. Plenty more fish in the sea.. Fish that aren't a few scales short of a fillet lol.
