When I was 25 I went to a psychic for the first time. She told me that I had three children , two in the physical & one in the spiritual. I looked at her confused because I had two children ,not 3 . She said , I'm talking about the daughter you had a miscarriage with. I immediately started to cry & she said she wants you to know she chose not to come into the world at that time. The first memory I had as a two-year old was looking at all the big people around me and then looking at my tiny little body and becoming very distraught seeing that I was once "again" a small child. I realized it would take many years for me to grow up "again" to become a big person, and I felt impatient. I didn't know who I had been or what I had done, but I remembered that I had been an adult. Boy, the interviewer wasn't biased, was she? Miss MacLaine spoke with incredible calmness and wisdom in the face of very biased questions and negative energy. Just imagine what other kinds of questions COULD have been asked by an interviewer who wasn't so afraid of opening her mind. Seems like our country collectively has been closed-minded for a very very long time and that is being brought to the surface now for us to look at in the brilliance of new light. I think we're finally ready for the cosmic can opener. I'm glad that Miss MacLaine was one of the first to bring the first glimmer of light to the masses. But some religions judge your future position for All Eternity on the strength of how you 'behave' in just one single lifetime. Most of your behaviour anyway depends on when and where you were born (into what culture/religion/moral systems etc). At least with reincarnation you get more than one chance to 'make good'.

My father left the belief system of Catholicism, to later join the belief system of reincarnation. I was very saddened by the thought that on his death bed, rather than being in a mental state of peace, he would find it necessary to believe that he was not "enlightened" ... and would therefore have to come back to earth maybe many more times to pay off those nasty karmic debts. No matter which religion, it instills fear in believers, that the self might have to suffer in the supposed next life ... or lives ... and that teaching is tragic.
