Yeah and people like AH and personality disorders, twist or invent so much truth to suit their wants and needs. The hard part is, when dealing with someone like that, they actually believe all in which they say. I have way too much history of dating someone (or family members) that have those types of problems. Nothing you do or say can convince them of the actual truth. Even audio recordings are not believed by by people with those illness. Luckily, most of the population believes Johnny. Therefore, most of the jury would as well
@amylee35312 жыл бұрын
@@kathy411 it's "good" that Johnny has a public historical past of talking about his rough upbringing and how he would frequently hide or walk away in a combative situation. If not, AH's lawyers would say he fabricated all of it. I can't help but really believe that all the info that has come out about Amber, will lead to Child services opening up an investigation on her with her daughter. That is a dangerous situation for a baby to be raised into. Heck, the amount of booze she drinks daily should be a red flag for them) I also feel like the timing of her using a surrogate is a bit too "convenient." There is audio recordings of Amber stating she doesn't want to be alone and she has used people(Elon) as time/gap filler. Mentally ill people with personality disorders have been known to use children to say "look at me, I'm a mom. There is nothing wrong with me. I'm all good and loving." Those illnesses are horrible for children to be raised in :( they aren't game pieces or some animal you play with then toss aside and let the house keeper or nanny raise. She's too insecure and FAR to self involved to raise an infant. Such a mess

I just got to see this interview right now, in the midst of JD court case. His life story didn't change a bit , he is authentic and indeed obsessed with truth. During this interview, I've tried thinking of another actor I could compare Johnny too? The closest I could come, was Mel Gibson? But still not quite. I do not like actors like Tom Cruise, Vin Diesal, or Brad Pitt . I prefer the quirky, odd, off to the left people. Like Monty Python, or Pink Floyd music. The more ridiculous the better. Johnny is the master of this as an actor!! I grew up with this man and being, "abnormal" is the most intriguing thing in the world!! Because you do not allow yourself, to be molded into social norms to be accepted. Johnny shows people it's ok to be an individual, no matter what "society" thinks. Something I believe is lacking in the world today. He is moral but "out there" a tad. I never fit in either? Maybe that is why??

Now I wouldn’t call him a genius nor the most amazing person alive, I think that thinking is due to the fact he is a celebrity. But he is extremely gifted, mostly because he found his passion in life. He never wanted to be famous, he just did it for fun, now look at him. Same thing with Dwayne Johnson. Don’t do things because you want to be the best or well known, do it because you genuinely love it and you’ll end up being a celebrity without struggles.

@OmniphonProductions3 жыл бұрын
"From a very, very young age, I felt a great need to occupy my brain because if I didn't force information in there or distract myself from the circus, then I would go mad." Thank you, Johnny Depp, for so helping me to feel truly understood...and for perfectly describing how I became a musician, actor, and perpetually autodidactic, annoying know-it-all. Having paid for college on Theater and Music scholarships, I totally get what he says about not feeling like an _artist_ as an actor. As a musician/singer/songwriter, I am an artist, but as an actor, even while bringing my own ideas to the set, I was always merely a tool with which the _director_ built _his_ vision. For that matter, neither the actors, directors, set designers, nor anybody else involved in _any_ of my college productions actually _wrote_ the shows we performed, so ultimately while presenting very good "variations on a theme", none of us truly _created_ the art; we merely decorated a house that somebody else built...with furniture we obtained almost entirely from outside sources. As for his comments about madness, the joy or sorrow that comes out of it is not merely based on awareness; it's based on what kind of madness. I've been a Police/Fire/EMS Dispatcher for nearly 20 years, now, and I can say with absolute confidence that the hallucinatory experiences of schizophrenics, even those who have been professionally diagnosed, can be a constant source of frustration, fear, and anger...all generated by very real-feeling subjective experiences that aren't objectively real. Having said that, as a songwriter, I absolutely agree with Socrates' comment about "perfect" poetry that lacks true expression vs. the imperfectly genuine expression of the human condition...up to and including madness. I love that he specifically referenced Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton because _Benny and Joon_ is one of my favorite of Johnny Depp's films...specifically because of how effectively he "channels" their physicality. Side Note: I also love Johnny Depp's stutter. He knows exactly what he wants to express, and he knows there's an exact path to it, BUT in order to find that path, he must place a hesitating toe on each stone before committing to the step. As for avoiding silence because of tinnitus, as a musician, every night at bedtime, in the silence of the room, I hear two distinct, high frequency pitches in my ear; during the day, they may interfere with my ability to make out lazy consonants, but at night, they interfere with my ability to fall asleep. That said, as a Blues musician, knowing that Bb is the minor 7 of A, that dissonance merely implies the bookends of a great chord...that my brain naturally fills in...but that "coping" mechanism still doesn't make _actual_ silence any more accessible. In fact, like the schizophrenia I addressed earlier, tinnitus is a condition whereby one _perpetually_ perceives a sound that isn't actually there...and interferes with every sound that _is._ By the way, my band's guitar player often references the soundtrack that's always in our heads; the music that life's moments reminds us of, the memory of which makes each moment feel just a bit more full. P.S. It's so wonderful to hear all the _real life_ influences upon whose influence his characters are based! As a musician, I often employ aspects of multiple musical influences and styles within a single song, so it's great to see that he uses a similar _fusion_ when building characters. Been tied for 1st as my favorite actor for decades, and after this, the tie may have finally broken!

I have seen bits and pieces of this interview on KZbin but watching it in full now. This absolutely made me cry in places. When Johnny talked about needing to self medicate to try to feel better as a very young person. His childhood must have been so incredibly difficult, so incredibly painful emotionally. Emotional pain is SO much more difficult to recover from, if we ever truly do than a physical injury. And yet that pain ended up building this incredibly talented artist, in every sense of the word. And it also gave him a hypersensitivity to others. I never really knew very much about Johnny Depp either until after that defamation trial. Watching him on the stand gave me an interest in learning more about him and his life. So these interviews have given some insight into the heart of him, at least that which he chooses to share. He has me wishing I could have been there for the young boy, Johnny Depp and could have hugged him, loved him, given him a place of physical and emotional safety. I just think he's amazing. Not so much for his work, but that's wonderful, but for the gentle, kind, loving, humble and respectful heart that he has. I love him deeply ❤🙏

There are only a handful of actors that I admire without question. Johnny Depp sits at the top of the list. Self-deprecating and generous of spirit and truly funny, are perhaps the first 3 things that come to mind when I think of him. Well, his beauty is hard to ignore, as well. One thing about him I have always found endearing is he seems to be painfully shy, hiding his face behind hat brims and locks of hair. Yet when the director says 'action' he wears each character as if he was born in its skin. He blossoms from a shy and often awkward young man into the brilliance that comes to him from keeping one foot in and one foot out of that circle of madness he speaks of. Beyond all of this, add his since of honor, integrity, and his desire to always stay true to himself and others. I love this man. #justiceforjohnnydepp

As many men like and admire JD as women. When he was younger, they tried to pigeon hole him as a heartthrob, 21 Jump Street, Teen Beat mags etc. and I think more girls loved him. He was so successful at “hacking his way through”, he is admire by all. I truly hate what he’s going through right now. AH had one of the best guys on the planet crazy in love with her and she didn’t get it. She blew it. On top of that she mentally and physically abused him. She didn’t appreciate how amazing her man truly is. What a dumbass.

Wow this is actually a heartbreaking interview in light of what we learned during the trial, when he talks about his childhood, everyone laughed as they thought he was joking about things but now we know he had a terrible childhood, so sad. He's such a kind soul.

Through the years I have been listening to Johnny Depp, Watching movies , listening to him on many different shows also different speaking of many different topics. Listening to Johnny for so long I came realize and understand that he is highly intelligent and way ahead of his time. I know Music is his first love, writings, painting, acting to name a few. I must correct myself, Johnny's First Love are his two beautiful children. JOHNNY you did extraordinary well for yourself. P.S. The only feet a man or woman should kiss are the feet of Jesus. And He wears sandals. Lots of Love, Kathy from Massachusetts ❤️✝️ Sorry I forgot Painting 🎨

If I could choose one person in the world to spend a week with, just picking their brain and talking about their life and career, it will always be the same answer...Johnny Depp. To me he has intelligence and such depth of emotion and understanding of himself and his motivations... for choosing the parts he has played, the choices he has made in his life...I could spend years getting to know him and it still wouldn't be enough time. Madness and genius go hand in hand and if you're lucky, (and Johnny has been very lucky) you find the path in life that lets you to walk that fine line and just BE who you are, and have that person not just be accepted but also admired by the fans and colleagues.

The way he imitated her jabbing him with her elbow really stuck out to me. If you try to imagine him describing a similar situation with Vanessa (not holding her to a gold standard, just to illustrate), he would never have done it that aggressively. Just tiny little hints here and there over the years... It's heartbreaking.

I adore Johnny depp, he's a staple of my childhood. Just now seeing this in 2022 and hearing 'my wife Amber' is sad in retrospect. But we cannot anticipate all bad things in life and we can just stay true, survive and be better. There are lessons in them at least

Johnny speaks eloquently and with humour about integrating madness through creative process. His response in 37:05 - 37:45 is the best. The beauty is, he keeps working out his truth through creativity. He hasn't dropped the mic yet and, heaven forbid, he ever does. I mean, when are you content with the work? We're born perfect. Getting back to perfection takes a lifetime. I'm in awe of how he gets to emotion in his creative process. I'm in a continual state of awe of his authentic approach to his work since seeing Edward Scissorhands. It's not lost on me that it took place 2 months before his mother died and his ex went public with lies (proven in court, unfortunately for her). Love this interview.
