I've been loving Makeup Revolution's Conceal and Hydrate (gingerly so, as it has a lot of coverage and I don't powder) of late and loving it on my dry/more mature skin...... All in all, most foundations look fantastic on you. This was not my fav on you was a little more texture it seems?????? Can't put my finger on it HOWEVER, I have not seem much or any texture on your mid face as this shows ever...... 🤔🤔😘 Naturally, I realize you are under lighting and.....

It is so weird how a foundation can be "inconsistent" but I have experienced it so many times and it always blows my mind because we use the same exact skincare and whatever else we put on before foundation and some of them never look the same as the time before! I have very few that are consistent. Think I'm also gonna pass....Thanks for the review! xxoo

Thanks, Mandy. I purchased this, and feel exactly like you do. There was one or two days, I really liked it, and a couple of others I was like oh no, this is aging me a bit. The car mirror is the worst. I literally cringe when I check my makeup in it. I’m like, no, please don’t tell me this is what I really look like. Think I just need to stay with hydrating and more radiant foundations for my dry skin.

Very interesting.. You & I normally love the exact same foundations. We have almost identical skin. This one for me was absolutely amazing. The best one I’ve tried in a very long time... I use it with the Laura Mercier primer & super lightly set it with the Chanel natural finish power.... I’d love to see you review the Fenty hydrating foundation.. I’m thinking of trying it next & I’d love to know your thoughts!!!

This is such an interesting one....agree that people should get samples! This one was pretty terrible on my dry/dehydrated 45 year old skin. I give it a half a thumb up too lol bc it did last all day for me 😂 so I had consistently awful skin all day that day! Lol Mandy you are just beautiful and even a bad (or not so great) foundation can’t dim your beauty 😍

Oh goodness...of all the new ones that I have bought and tried out for an extended period of time, I would say the ABH Luminous Foundation is my fave. I am still testing the Jane Iredale matte one and the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless one though. :)

HI Mandy. I am in my 50's with dry skin. With any foundation I use, I always seem to have caking on my nose. Do you have advice to avoid this? Thank you.

Hey Goldie!! I would make sure you use a sponge to apply it and make sure you are using a lightweight foundation. Sometimes with clients who have the same issue, I will skip the foundation all together and put a skin tone light layer of concealer on the nose and blend out with my fingers. That seems to help.

I'd really like to try a sample of this as Shiseido typically works well for me but I never liked that prior formulas had alcohol and the prior shades were a little off. I think it looks beautiful for 10 hours! However, I'm using the new foundation from Stila and I'm enjoying it so maybe I'll stay put for now :)

I prefer the Charlotte Tilbury on the face and Hourglass under the eyes. The Hourglass on my face makes me look too shiny unfortunately. The Charlotte Tilbury one is much more natural on me. :)

what a shame the original syncho skin long lasting is discontinued. i went to nordstrom to get a new bottle and was told its gone and replaced with this. 24 hour anything is awful imo so i left with the old standby guerlain lingerie de peau.

So apart from all the scientific stuff, colourwise it looks good on you. I think that the inconsistency of it looking good one day, then not on another would annoy me. If I'm spending a lot of money (which it will be by the time it gets to the UK), I would want it to look good every day. Getting a sample beforehand would be the way to go. I don't fancy the 'crunchy' feeling of the concealer though 😕. 💖.
