Subaru Justy Oil Pump Flaw

I drove the same 1991 Justy for 18 years and 192K miles. Oil pressure tested was nominal, I used semisynthetic 10W-30 Valvoline. Oil changes at 3K miles. The real oil leak problem is also in the ignition distributor, where the inner oil seal of the distributor slowly pumps out oil. With a dump of just 2.9 quarts, watching oil levels and changing oil at 3k miles is critical.
