It technically is, though the learning part is hard. Which is why I didn't get into it. Though id you know enough, you can generally defend yourself in court. But to be full on lawyer law can get real deep and complicated.

Yo, what does that medication have to do with the legal case which has been brought against him? Are they basically admitting that that is their motive?
@anarki7778 жыл бұрын
M Dixon I remember the charges brought against him were to do with securities fraud, nothing to do with the price of that medication.
@anarki7778 жыл бұрын
M Dixon And it's not illegal to jack the price of Daraprim. So how is it relevant? They're revealing that that is why they went after him in the first place.
@botdfbvb2 жыл бұрын
@@anarki777 it actually isn't illegal sadly. Many pharmaceutical companies jack up their prices. Compare the prices between the US and any niche drug in other countries and you'll find that the US always pays a premium compared to other countries. Insurance, and healthcare are big business here. They can't let this cash cow run dry. One sacrificial lamb like Martin is enough to give the illusion to the common man to think that something was done to combat corporate pharma greed.

Obviously Shkreli is a bad guy, but in terms of legal strategy, taking the fifth is exactly right. People get charged with perjury all the time, and nobody wins by speaking out. At least very few win. I would take the 5th too.
