Why Shmee doesn't have his own trailer & F-350 Ford dually or whatever the equivalent Brits use to pull vehicle trailers in the UK to pick up his own vehicles seems like a huge waste of money. I'm mean it's not like Shmee can't afford a Truck & covered car trailer combo. Owning them would pay for themselves within 5 to 6 years. Especially if others need a lift, charhe them a fee $$$

@@davel696969 Space is much more of an issue here in the UK, so storsge of such an outfit would also be a factor. I guess he would also need to hire somebody to then drive the outfit to wherever was required. I'm not suggesting he wouldn't be capable of driving the rig, but his time is probably more valuable spent elsewhere than the reletively slow journey such a rig can do. This is all just my opinion of course.

It’s naive to think that there’s no way an organized crime ring hasn’t made plans to swipe the Zenvo. They know where it is, they know where it WILL be and they have the key. Now they have the shape of the hard key and the programming, the location of the car, the shape and design of the garage it’s stored in, the type of security measures in place…. Just hide the car until it’s rekeyed. I wouldn’t take a chance, this isn’t a Honda. It’s not hard to do, and worth it.

There are so many variables in transport that the law of averages is that at some point something will go wrong. There are countless people involved in a movement like this, at some point human error kicks in. The way you can tell if you have a good transport partner is how they react when these things happen. By the sounds of it they nailed it as not only does Tim seem to be up to date with the information, they have also provided a solution, plus he seems content with the outcome. If you ship internationally and expect nothing to ever go wrong you should probably rethink doing it.

Shmee, as far as shuffling cars around on the auto stackers, you should do the following... 1. Keep the Renault's where they are. 2. Put the McLaren and Lotus together. 3. Keep the Aston's together. 4. Keep the Focus RS and Mustang together. 5. Keep the GT Blackseries and SLS Blackseries together. 6. Keep the SF90 and 296 together. 7. Keep the Ford GT and Zenvo together. 8. Keep the 1M and maybe you should and Audi for the collection. What about an Audi RS7 etc... Just a thought.

yes but apart from taking it for a joyride, there is nothing you can do with it, it will have a tracker, probably can be immobilised remotely, you can't sell it, you can't buy parts for it, it is insured so Schmee gets a new car, probably the new model he is trying his hardest not to splash out on

Good they found the key. A new key won't be cheap. The batteries of the keys of my 2008 E81 118d are empty and can't be replaced. New ones are 400 bucks each. For a Zenvo, at least 2-4k I guess.

So lesson learnt, always bring a spare key when shipping a car. Like Shmee mentioned imagine if when it arrived in the States the key was missing. I would get 3 keys for all cars you may think are ever going to be shipped.
