Darryl is a no frills, no gimmicks, down-to-earth straight talker! Good ol' farm boy from the prairies of Alberta. Grew up learning the meaning of respect and hard work and played the same way during his career. As a coach and GM he was/is the exact same way. I'd take him back as the head coach of the Flames in a heartbeat over that wet blanket of a coach we have currently!

I will always remember the old story about the Sutter brothers. When they were young , their mother made sure they were All dressed up nicely for school all they had to do was make on the morning school bus. When they left their house all They had to do was cross their corn field to the bus stop. That never happen one or two would always come back home To change their shirts.
