That is an amazing film - Charles Laughton is a stellar actor. And of course Bela appears in it as well. Are we not men!?

Sadly we were not able to find any available copies of this movie online. I did find plenty of trailers and clips, but no full movie.I will keep looking.

The publicity posters of the time suggested another CAT PEOPLE but of course this little mystery was far from it, still I liked it

True. It isn't Cat People but does have its own charms.

At first I was like, “Wait, this is a lost film!” Then I realized it was not the 1930 film but another remake of the 1927 silent. I guess the 1930 film must have already gotten lost by 1957. Heck, they probably lost it when they were filching scenes for 1932’s Boo! Too bad no one was taking care to preserve films in the early years of film. 🎥
