Very cool. Hopefully you can do the other hotel in the movie-The Biltmore Hotel in Palm Beach (now called the Palm Beach Biltmore Condos) where the almost-empty swimming pool scenes took place.

@@chrisccc503 Is that where the hotel scene was filmed? How do you know this? I was disappointed when I showed up at the Biltmore to find out that pool had never been there.

Amazing to see a once "abandoned" hotel in such a good condition, while so many great buildings of the past are really abandoned now...

Man, your videos are awesome! How perfectly matched up the angles are the way you find all these locations is extremely impressive.

I haven't been there since the late 80s, but it looked great then. Thank goodness they fixed it up. Shame to lose that historic building.

Thank you so much for this! I've contemplated making the trip to the area but wasn't sure if anything was even left. Guess I'll get it done one of these days.

Amazing! Not much has changed. Love watching your videos! Like to see old zombie movies or x-rated stuff from the 70's or early 80's. Whatever you choose.

One of the few good and original zombie flicks NOT made by George Romero. The images of the soldiers walking underwater without any artificial breathing apparatus are really creepy, surreal, and memorable. I've always wondered if THAT perhaps inspired the scene with the amphibious ghoul in Fulci's Zombie.

This was the Biltmore Hotel in Palm Beach Florida. Not Coral Gables.
You're thinking of The Breakers, that's in Palm Beach.

Was it abandoned or made to look abandoned?

The hotel was built in 1926, served as a hospital during WW2, used as a medical school in the 50s and 60s, abandoned in 1968, this movie was filmed in 1975, and then the hotel was renovated and re-opened for business in 1987. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miami_Biltmore_Hotel
