Any amount of added projectiles adds +100% attack time on the assault rifle/machine gun type ammos for some reason, but it doesn't scale up past that. Scattershot adds 20% attack time on the single-shot ammos, which might be 10% per bolt but I haven't tested with the Deadeye extra proj to confirm because I only have a Witchhunter. If you stack Scattershot on Shockburst with the Deadeye extra proj it should still end up being 28% more (0.5x attack speed * 4 proj * 0.8x scattershot speed penalty * 0.8x scattershot damage penalty = 1.28x), but then you get less than half as many reloads for Fresh Clip, so, probably still not optimal and can be skipped Hoping to see the attack time fixed. Deadeye proj would be 82% more damage at a 10% attack time increase per proj, and Scattershot would be 60% more for other ascendancies (combining both wouldn't be worth it though, Scattershot + Deadeye is 97% more vs 82% more for just the Deadeye proj)

Voltaic-scatter, exposure, strip, fast forward works well for electrocuting and shocking if you don't want to run a bow. Shield charge and Resonating shield as 2nd weapon for a tankier setup.

Sorry if this is obvious, but obviously in guide you're using Stormcaller, which requires bow to use, but in the video you don't have it in your inventory at all. Do you just grab it when you are doing bossing, and not bother with it through maps and stuff?

You can equip the Bow in the second weapon set and Stormcaller will automatically swap weapon when being used from your skill quickslots

If you don't want to shield charge when mapping, just keep it in your weapon slot all the times. If you want to shield charge in maps, you'll have to either keep it in inventory or swap to it before bosses

In Palsteron's latest video, at the end of the Ascendancy portion he claims Shockburst Rounds does get a DPS increase with +1 projectiles cus even tho it slows the rate down, it shoots 2 at a time. Not sure if accurate or not

You either run bow and shock with Stormcaller arrow or you run shield and shock with Plasma blast or Galvanic shards and have access to Shield Charge. Pick what makes you more comfortable. If you are a masochist then you can try weapon swapping 3 weapons from your inventory for sure.

Witchhunter probably still works because it's a strong generalist ascendancy, it just isn't busted like deadeye and starting tree on merc is worse for bolt stuff than ranger because fuck you for not going nade spec on merc according to ggg I guess

honestly leveling with lightning arrow is pretty miserable. I bought good weapons from market every 10 lvls or so, and it still took me multiple minutes to beat bosses in campain. When i switched to Crossbow around act1cruel - my damage skyrocketed. Even when i didn't respec, with old passives

Did you use lightning lightning rod? You have to chain the lightning rods together to get boss damage on that build

@@Skuffsywuffsy several cast multishot rods and mark too. I don't know why dps was so low, but i had lvl 30 double string bow, for exampe, with +110% phys damage, + phys, +lightning, +attack speed and it was still painfull to kill bosses. Packs died in 1-2 cast, but bosses...

I don't feel that overpowered just having done the final fight in Trial of the sekhemas, if anything I feel like we're right on the money. I just think a lot of the bosses are undertuned in terms of how much life they have. they should really just... make them a bit tankier so they can actually do mechanics.

@legalizemarinara ascendancies arent as directly powerful in in poe2 vs. poe1. Deadeye is still superior to wotchhunter but witchhunter as an ascendancy is pretty good. The passive tree I'd say is more impoetant of a consideration than ascendancy in poe2. I think the real problem is that its starting tree (and to be clear, thats what i originally meant and not, like, low level experience which isnt super important to me either way) is really bad, where it lacks any compelling nodes to click that actually support xbow bolt skills. Ranger has a lot of really cracked stuff to go for and has easier access to pure evasion stacking which is cirrently a better defensove layer than armor, which is what merc has more access to.
