Very easy to get ripped off at the auction many years ago i bought 5 cars at auction 2 Renault 12's one looked rough the other immaculate which I later found out had a dud engine the other one good engine made one out of the two, an Austin maxi 😂 no fifth gear a morris marina gearbox knackered, and a mk3 cortina which I sold next day to a family member for what I paid for it. It was a very bad day. Learnt a few lessons that day and was much more cautious in the future. That was 40 odd years ago, now retired and drive a Dacia.

I've owned a 10 plate petrol focus for 12 years. 165,000. Getting bit expansive for labour now because lots of minor maintenance required. Getting a mazda 3 next 21 or 22 plate, avoiding ecoboom. Do people think Mazda 3 is good? The focus still has original clutch! Just had front discs and rear facing suspension bush arms and exhaust welded back on. Just too much little jobs need doing constantly and corrosion under car is building up.

Here is a novel idea lee Ask EMR Metal recycling to clear 50% of your stock. Then get the rest ready for sale prior to putting 4sale sign on them. Wow man sell a car monday but customers cannot drive away same day cos the car needs PAINT, new bushes and a clutch..

Dont want to worry you on the kia but the dealer snapped a glow plug on ours whilst under warranty (the one they replaced and cross threaded in but thats another story) they had the same stripped off cylinder head they had it months. Eventually returned with 3 brand new injectors, wiring loom and a new ecu apparently they had spiked it somehow? Personally think with that many fiat 500/kas coming and going id be keeping a freshly rebuilt gearbox and rear suspension on the premise ready to go then could be a quicker turn around on those

I deal in cheaper end motorcycles, the amount of work I have to do to make a small amount of money is ridiculous, if I added anything for my time then I’d be in negative figures. I've had so much bad times with Scenics, the engine is backwards in them so the turbo is obscured behind/under the car and you can't work on them without putting them up on a lift. I get nightmares every time I see one of those money-pits

Enjoy your videos. This is my analysis of the curent status and I'm no car pitch trader. 1.Cashflow is KIng, but at the moment you have a nice car museum. 2. You often state in your videos that certain models will sell very easily, so why not concentate more on those? too many Heinz Variety models on your pitch, far too many in my opinion. 3. You also state time is money which is true but also space on your pitch is also money so dont fill your pitch with crap. 4. You could bite the bullet and scrap at least a quarter if not more just to get some cash in and start again, go for what you know sells well , go for those models that you really understandeg Fiat Panda, Fiesta, Focus, etc keep the number of brands down to a minimum. 5. Do you offer servicing & MOT's another opening ? not sure. Best of luck Lee, hope you get it all sorted soon, give us all an update in the New Year

I like Scenic's tbh - had 2 that were reliable and did what I needed for very little dosh - the 2 together stood me £2695 gross and got holidays and travel out of them. I have ended up with bad motors not intentionally, jist wen u buy an old car u get no know the faults very quickly. I end up getting stuck with a car and spend my time fixing it. It takes time and money getting these car right. When i come to sell it the car is is good working order better than when i bought it. This is just my own personal cars but it is disheartening when u by a car and then the next day when u start it from cold u find that it has an injector problem especially if its a Bimmer. They dont build these cars like they use too. No wonder everyone is buying new cars on pcp. Pppl can do diy on cars anymore they dont want to and they dont have the knowledge. However theres loads of resources online if u really want to fix them urself.

One of our 1.4 TDCI Fusions suffered from a failed injector at about 86k miles. Got a new injector fitted and a few months later another injector failed. Our other Fusion is still going at 144k miles. They are pretty decent cars overall, however the 1.4 Petrol ones are probably a better choice being less complicated.

Beware of a catch when these manufacturers give you a lifetime guarantee. I had a Tom Tom Sat Nav with lifetime upgrades. I bought it in 2017 and last year they refused to let me update it, telling me to buy a new one. There was nothing wrong with the one I had. So I will never purchase another Tom Tom. I would use WAZE on my phone, if I owned a car.

All your fixed costs, divided by 12 (months), divided by the number or car sized spaces on The Pitch = cost per car each month just to have them all taking up space!. Scary number I reckon😮. I always used to figure out the cost per space of someone standing about doing nothing (feet together). A more contentious approach😂

I told my Tanzanian mot man to get the 10 scrapers/hangers on outta his life and only have ready to go 12 year old max 90k miles to 5-6 year old 50k tackle The scrap holding onto a swapper you allowed £400 on then spend £150 plus 2 days fixing then it sits there at £999. Easier to punt it off the auctions and get £400 and put £2500-£3500 into a decent car that makes £1200 . You can take a horse to water and my Tanzanian mate will be drier than a nuns coochie 👍

I want to see a car pitch vid where you have more space, deadwood all gone, sold a couple from the front and only a couple of cars thst need work. Another thing i dont understand is why do dealers put cars up for sale that need work? Fix them first then put a car on sale incase you do get a customer who wants same day takeaway?
