Shocked by Traditional Korean Street food!?!

Hello!! This week I took Ollie to Namdaemun Market in Seoul for the first time! We got to try loads of traditional street food that Ollie had never had before, including probably the best Hoddeok that I've ever had and dumplings from a place that sells more dumplings than I new was physically possible!! Enjoy!!

I kinda can imagine how he feels about using korean since after being into kpop/kdrama stuff for 4years already I can understand a lot of stuff but I'm totally unable of making even a small talk just by myself 🤡 and it's not like I've been learning the language it's just that some words and sentences are so common that you start to remember them without even trying, in addition ollie had been to korea a lot of times so he just naturally learned some stuff it's just that he can't express himself well (I think korean might be harder for him to learn since he already knows something and isn't starting from the bottom)

There's a language acquisition that is more on understanding than speaking. So, like me, i understand three languages in my country but I find it difficult to retrieve the words at will in order to speak it 😅

may flower ollie is pretty much constantly around korean whether he wants to learn it or not. if you spend your time hearing it then overtime you’re gonna pick phrases or words up. so i’m guessing ollie’s understanding is waaaay better than how he comes off. personally i think trying to piece together sentences in a different language can be hard especially with grammar structure and all that.

Haha. Ollie is super funny and his commentary is just amazing. I hope we get to see him on film more often. He is really eager and brave to speak Korean which is something I'm afraid to do. English is my native language but Im currently learning Japanese. I admire his ability to go out speak Korean and just get out and have fun. Love from the USA, Washington.
