Just unrefined, much more dangerous for athletes, without the need to train all masteries, with emphasis on lucky strike rather than overall skill. Exciting doesn't always mean better, but I accept your point, Costa vs Strickland was pretty boring, most UFC fights are much more slower since athletes have way less openings. But there are also fights like Islam vs Dustin that was fire. Old school UFC with Tank, and Chuck were just crazy brawls, eventually skill won over brute force, first by Judjitsu and later by Russian wrestler disciplines.

@@WrathOfImperium If you think striking is about who's the luckiest then you don't know how to strike, and you know nothing about striking. There is a HUGE amount of skill and planning that goes into striking (watch a boxing fight breakdown and you'll see exactly what I mean). While the fighters in bare knuckle are less skilled than normal boxers, the fights unfold faster because they fight risky and with no padding on their hands. Rarely will you see two fighters being completely technical and going for the late rounds when it comes to bare knuckle. I'd argue that exciting does mean better when it comes to entertainment, as that's the whole point of fighting entertainment, it's supposed to be exciting. If you're here to break down game plan and analyze strikers, then you should probably go watch boxing or muay thai.

You know??? I used to think it wasn't. But as the sport has progressed,.....more real athletes are starting to partake and I gotta agree with you. Even when they're hugging it's sustained violence most of the time. The fighters are legit. The training is getting more and more advanced. It's completely different from any other combat sport. It takes 28.6lbs of pressure to turn your lights off. I think guys are realizing it's a more pure form of combat. And if your a true warrior,.... it'll have very little to do with $$$$. Integrity, honor, and respect to your opponent. After you've made his face look like the shredded steak. Pure as the driven snow. I love the sport. It's incredible.

I watched Reggie fight (and lose) in the first event in Florida. He came back to the Championship from that time. I think he's a little small and his power doesn't seem to translate too well, but I think he's done alright. He was the champ after all. Depending on who you ask the stunt with the book could be considered "classy", but Richardson responded how he should have.
