Hey sweetie if you're moving to the south, but not until late winter-early spring, football season is over. Check out basketball or baseball(for "ball type sports) NASCAR starts late February, but spring I suggest lake swimming or ocean/gulf swimming., spring & summer in the south outside is the most fun❣️👍😁❤ I just noticed you're going to Texas 🤔 that's a different pickle 🤣😂🤣 football year round here, you might be able to watch "2 a days” on the college level 6 am -9 am & 2-3 pm for 2 more hours... But Texas has football year round. If you go to a jr high or high school & watch their practices OR games you'll see where the USA gets their "spirit " for games. The reason football is the most played game in Texas it's because there's only 2 seasons here Summer & January -February😢😮❤ love & miss you Texas (now that August and September are OVER 🤣😂🤣

Born and raised in the deep south..it is different here, there is a frenzied need to be polite, even when you are cussing someone out. We will offer you food, drink and a place to sleep if you visit our house...it would offend my ancestors if I didn't. Had a guy move here from california, really confused him on why we were always offering food and shelter to strangers. He nearly didn't survive his first summer, the humidity.

To look at a map , an unenlightened person would say that Florida and Texas are part of "The South" , but they would be wrong . Those two states are something that are different and apart. I will say no more.

Ok. This is bad, but I can beat the funeral stories. For background, my dad was 1 of 11 kids. And (only on my dad's side) I personally have 51 FIRST cousins... my Aunt Winnie died. Her funeral procession was almost 300 cars. I was in car #7. We are almost to the gravesite when a black truck gets between car#5 and car#6 at an intersection. So, cars 1-4 and motorcycle cop 1 drive through. (Car#4 is driven by a son has two teen boys sitting in back of truck in lawn chairs) Car # 5 stops and walks back to truck. He knocks on the window and tells dude driver that he needs to pull over and stop disrespecting #5's mama's funeral. Truck doesn't move. Car #6 gets out. He is a very large son. Starts banging really hard on truck window. Both sons are now yelling at pu truck driver. Car#5 wife gets out to tell husband to let it go. PU truck driver gets scared, tries to get away and RUNS OVER THE WIFE. Then car#6 starts punching the windshield of the truck. Motorcycle cop#2 (has been blocking the intersection the whole time) Gets off his bike and yells into his shoulder radio that he needs backup and an ambulance. And something about 1 injured and a riot. I look in the rearview and see about 25 people running toward the accident. Then I hear the news helicopter above us. PU truck driver got 7 different charges... he had pot, an open container, etc... car #5 & wife go in ambulance with a broken leg. Procession resumes. All of it caught and put on the 6 o'clock news...Is this in rural Texas? Hell no. It happened in Austin, Texas... (the deceased Aunt had 8 children total)

I'm sorry but Texas isn't exactly the southern you're thinking of, there's the south /east then Texas (Louisiana is your "fade through) then Texas is you know ❤😂TEXAS 😂❤! then you have your New Mexico for a fade through to California 🤔 & Arizona not in that order 🤣😂🤣
