@ServantOfTHEMOSTHIGH Like it says in Psalm 145:16 "He opens His hands and gives sutenance to all living things", it doesn't mean God has literal hands, it means in His Divine Providence of sustaining life, just like a human would do an act of kindness by opening their hands to give to others, it is metaphor to understand His ways and Behaviors, and speaks in a language where humans can understand. Moses asked God to see His *GLORY* , not to see God, there is no seeing God, [we know nothing about God's Essence other than He is Infinitely Perfect, and we have no grasp of what that even means, and we have no grasp of anything infinite, we know Him only through Creation and His Behaving with us, all in finite measures according to His will] and it is referring to levels of understanding God's relationship with creation, for ex: knowing Him as Creator, as the Conductor, the One Whom gives existence to every milimeter of existence, the Merciful, the Judge, Our Father, different levels of understand His Glory/Divine Presence and His ways. *Hence God responded to Moses in those very verses "I will have mercy upon whom I wish to have mercy on" exodus 33:19, meaning, there is a level of God's ways/glory that even Moses wasn't granted access to understand, how for some people God acts in mercy while for others with the same seeming deeds He will act in Judgement, because He alone knows all hidden aspects, hence "I will have mercy upon whom I choose to have mercy on".* Seeing "the back" is a secret of understanding how the physical and spiritual worlds intertwine and work together, but not that Moses was granted full access to understand His thoughts and ways. They are all metaphor and parables for extremely deep levels of understanding His Behaviors with us, different levels of His revelation/relationship/His ways and influences, and if you had a mature (and not a childish stuck in your own imagination) type of connection to God, you would understand this on your own, *that the Torah speaks in the language that humans can understand.* When it says "and it was evil in Gods eyes" (Genesis 38:7), it means in Gods Perception/All Knowingness, not that God has actual eyes, its different aspects of His Providence. "Evil in God's ears" (Numbers 11:1) doesn't mean He has ears, it means that the words that were spoken were impure before His OmniPresence. Same thing with all physical attributions to God, like "Who brought you up from the land of Egypt with great might *and with an outstretched arm"* it doesn't mean a literal arm, it means in a lofty divine providence that resembles strength as it would with a persons arm. If you love God, open your ears, it already says clearly "...and what form/image can you ever possibly ascribe to Him?!" Isaiah 40:18.

@@proveit7280 Hey 👋🙂 Shalom. When studying scripture there are four levels in our tradition, the acronym "Pardes" "פ'ר'ד'ס" )which means "garden") and they stand for Pshat, Remez, Drash, and Sod. Pshat in hebrew means "the simple level" of understanding the verse, meaning the verse in its most simple context, and the word Pshat comes from the word "lehitpashet" which means "to remove the garment", because the text of tanach is often so cryptic that it is almost screaming out "take off my garment to understand my secrets". The 3rd layer is called "Drash" which means to expound, and so much of our tradition on the secrets of scriptures fall into these other categories. The great hebrew master, Torah Giant, and commentator "Rashi" in his commentary on this verse decided to quote our midrashic tradition on this verse, and that it is referring to Abraham, (similarly Targum Yonatan, a esoteric aramaic translation/commentary written by Yonatan ben Uziel, the greatest student of hillel, who lived during the 2nd temple era) also wrote that its referring to Abraham. I will quote Rashi to you here: "[I] call from the east a swift bird Heb. עַיִט. From the land of Aram, which is in the east, I called Abraham to Me to take counsel with Me... "from a distant land" I called My man of counsel, and with him I took counsel between the parts concerning the four exiles, as it is explained in Gen. Rabbah (44:17) “And behold, a fear, great darkness was falling upon him.” [“Fear” refers to Babylon... “Darkness” refers to Media, who darkened the eyes of Israel with fasting. “Great” refers to Greece... “Was falling upon him” refers to Edom..., etc.] "yea I spoke" with him concerning the exiles and their redemption; I will also bring it. However, this is a midrashic tradition and not the Pshat level of understanding the text. The Jewish commentators who stuck strictly with the Pshat interpertation of text all say the tradition that this verse is referring to King Cyrus, [Malbim, Ibn Ezra, Radak, MetzudotDavid]. The עיט is a type of bird that tramples and devours, and God awoke Cyrus's heart "from the east" (who was in the east of babylon, in Persia) to devour babylon, and that he would come swiftly like a bird, and God calls him the "man of my counsel/plans" because through him did God bring about His divine plan of destroying babylon, saving the jewish people, and give them permission to rebuild the temple. "I have spoken" the matter that is should be so before it manifested in actuality/reality etc.

Doesn't your religion teach genuine humility? B] Please explain to me how I am supposed to believe Isaiah 53 can be referring to who you claim it does, when 1. the christian translations of the text change the hebrew to singular when in the actual hebrew in verse 9 and 10 they switch to the plural [מפשע עמי נגע למו, from the sins of my people a disease to THEM] [or ואת עשיו במותיו, and with the wealthy his MANY DEATHS it is plural, not singular as the corrupt christian translations say]. For a knowledgable hebrew speaker, for someone to intentionally deliberately lie like that, what do you think it makes us think 🥴... 2. The literal hebrew says "if he shall accept his soul as guilty, he shall see offspring and live a longer life" the words in hebrew are יראה זרע to see ones seed, literal offspring, and יאריך ימים which means to live a life well into old age, your idol didn't see any offspring nor did he live a long life. 3. "He had done no injustice and no falsehood was in his mouth" isaiah 53:9. Compare that with "the remnant of Israel shall do no wrong, and they will not speak falsehoods, a deceitful tongue shall not be found in their mouths" Tzefanaya 3:13. The "servant" is the loyal torah observant remnant of the Jewish people. Without christian prebias, anyone would catch on pretty quickly, but pre-bias is a heavy blinder. If you want the truth, you need to be an open heart and mind and put your ego away.

@@danieldengL4R You say the Mosaic covenant is no longer, but, please be a genuine truth seeker, how can that be when Tanach [God] disagrees with you, "When you are in distress and all these things befall you *at the end of days* and you will repent to Hashem your G-d...For Hashem your G-d is a Merciful G-d, *He will not let go of you or let you perish and He will NOT forget the covenant/promise of your forefathers in which He swore to them"* Deuteronomy 4:30,31. Leviticus 26:44,45. And here: "...and I have said: I will not ever (for all eternity) nullify My covenant with you". Judges 2:1. And the End of Days prophecy of Deuteronomy 30 verses 1-10 say clearly that the repentance will be a mass nation full on returning to observe the Mosaic Torah, and infact it even says that this will be one of the jobs of Messiah himself, here: "And My servant David [messiah] shall be king over them, and one shepherd shall be for them all, *and they shall go in My Laws and observe My commandments and perform them.* And they shall dwell on the land that I have given to My servant, to Jacob, wherein your forefathers lived; and they shall dwell upon it, they and their children and their children's children, forever; and My servant David shall be their prince forever. And I will form a covenant of peace for them, an everlasting covenant shall be with them; and I will establish them and I will multiply them, and I will place My Temple in their midst forever...And the nations shall know that I am Hashem, Who sanctifies Israel, when My Temple is in their midst forever." There are errors, additions, and erroneous beliefs not only in the Christian writings, but also in the Torah, the prophets, other writings. Now all books are holy. Examples. Moses did not write the Torah, not even Deuteronomy. The Book of Jashar was oldest besides somes Psalms. It was book of Saul and Jeroboam's kingdoms. Genesis compiled by 550s BCE. Now song of songs is not holy, a king is trying to force himself into a woman because of lust. As for Christians, later thet believed Jesus rose physically, but Mark never says that. Luke and Acts make look like Jesus could enter walls like a ghost. I am a Christian Yahwist. I believe Jesus and the Deity are not the same.

The caller does bring up a point which I had not thought of before which is; why did the women go by themselves if they could not move the stone to get into the tomb where Jesus was buried? * The women should have brought a group of men who could move the stone. But they didn’t. In John’s Gospel there is a story of the gardener (mentioned by Rabbi Singer). But from the description of the stone at the tomb, one gardener could not move the stone by himself. * The grace thru faith page says; “ It would have taken several men a considerable amount of time to dislodge the stone and open the tomb.” * The Thinking to Believe page says; “ Depending on the type of stone used, it could weigh between 1-2 tons (2000-4000 pounds). This is quite heavy, but two men could move it into place “ The story in Matthew 27:57-60 says that Joseph of Arimathea; “ He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away.” * That is not accurate. One man could not move such a big stone. It would take from two to several men to move that stone. * This lack of people who could open the tomb for the women by itself strongly undercuts the credibility of the women at the Jesus tomb story. * The Rabbi is also correct that bringing spices for a body three days after burial also does not make sense which further discredits the Passion narrative.

That’s not a strong argument... A stone can be both large and moveable...we should question other things more than that... We should for instance point out that even in the New Testament other figures were allegedly raised from the Dead and that even if the resurrection happened it means nothing as far as proving he was God or messiah. I think that’s the even stronger argument is that Lazarus was also raised from the dead through Gods power, why isn’t he the messiah? Why would resurrection make anyone the messiah or God when resurrection is supposed to happen for everyone anyway?

I mean He's GOD right, the "CREATOR" of the Heavens and Earth and Mankind? He could have just say His Commands "Mankind sins are forgiven, the sins of Adam to you shall not bear any longer." So why the drama of descending Himself as man and die for wiping the sins of Mankind?? Not logical. Next logic, for you, as a parent could you teach your children if you have the same physical attributes of a child with poor knowledge of their surroundings, still exploring their physical world and still not knowing their own struggles and interests? Of course not. As a perent, you sole duty is to educate your children to be as mature or even more mature than you are. Similarly to the Almighty God to which you Christians call him Father. Why is the Father have to be similar attributes of His children in order to teach them to the right path? Similarly a father has the status as the carer of the family, the Father (God) is the Creator of the Universe of His creation, why insulting the Majesty of The Creator of the Universe. Yes, God can transform to be a man but He did not do so because : 1) God will be biased toward His other children that we did not know. Did you really think that Mankind is His favourite child? Isn't that God is biased? That shows God is not All-Knowing, Compassionate and All-Just. Maybe alien is far fetched, maybe let's think of other creatures that why God did not incarnate as animals or angels or demons or heck, why not plants too... Then what's the point God is known to the Almighty Creator if he just going to incarnate on his creations. 2) The status or attributes of God is just degraded if he forms Himself as part of his Creation. Imagine you create a robot to love you but you wanna be a robot to love the robot... Is that making sense? Why such hassle when you could program the robot in the computer to love you back, similarly to God (Robot Creator) sending his love and message to his prophets and patriarchs (computer) to His Children (robots). God forming Himself as his creation/children in itself as a heresy. It contradicts to the teachings of the Abrahamic religion itself which 2 out of 3 religions agree on this logic. When the women reached the tomb they expected the Roman guard to still be there.; hence the size of the stone is irrelevant. However, after the guards discovered the stone moved and the tomb empty, they fled.
@sinpilot31952 жыл бұрын
I believe the women went to the tomb to put the spices on the dead body, because the body was going to be moved to another tune. That tune did not belong to Jesus what was being meant to him for the time being so his body did not end up any mass grave. So in order for the body to be moved to another tune they would want to put spices in it to stop it from smelling going forth to the other two. Now I’m not sure if this is an explanation but that’s what I’ve come up with in my 10 years of being a Christian. However rabbi singer has been really opening my eyes. Actually none of his disciples believed he would rise again, even though he taught them that he would, they thought that was the end of their dreams of Jesus being the Messiah. It was only when they saw him risen that they believed it. Matt 20:18-19 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, 19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again. John 20:8-9 Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. 9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. Luke 24:22-23 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre; 23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive. Hi Tovia, you are completely right about the issue of the stone being rolled way is not as important as the issue of why the women were bringing spices to the Tomb of a dead man. It's a little absurd to think the stone which was rolled into place in the first place by human beings couldn't be similarly rolled away by human beings exactly the same way - which is why the High priest sought to have a guard placed on that tomb by Roman soldiers - they most certainly didn't want Jesus' disciples coming to that Tomb by night secretly rolling away that stone, taking Jesus' body from the tomb and then claiming Jesus had been miraculously raised from the dead. As Matthew points out there was a guard placed on that tomb by the Romans - at the request of the High priest - for that sole purpose of preventing a false claim of Jesus' miraculous resurrection by His followers: "When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple: He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed. And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre. Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch." Point #1. The stone was obviously easily rolled into place by Joseph of Arimathaea and/or his servants. Therefore easily rolled aside again by Jesus' disciples. #2. The Romans made sure the stone was sealed or fixed into place - and I don't think it would have been sealed by silicone seal - but perhaps by some type of metal Locking mechanism being attached to it - expressly to prevent its removal - which is most likely why the women were concerned about not being able to get it open. #3. Why indeed would the women even consider bringing spices to a dead mans tomb when most likely knowing they would be doing something that was not Kosher regarding usual burial procedures of the times? OK. Speculation 1. The women weren't expecting a dead body to be in the Tomb - but a Risen Christ instead. Mary Magdelene at least, being a very close and devout disciple of Jesus' would have known His teaching was that He would rise again the third day - even the Chief priest knew of that claim - hence the guard placed on the tomb's entrance. To a man, and/or woman - every single disciple of Jesus' expected him to set up HIS kingdom in that 1st century AD and proclaim himself king of the Jews and that much was obvious by the question asked by them in the Olivet prophecy: "And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" Matthew 24:2-3, "Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?" Mark 13:4 and Luke 21 below: "And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said, As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?" Speculation #2. IF Mary Magdelene and her associate Mary[s] were expecting a - Live - Jesus, then that might explain the bringing of the spices to the Tomb. i.e. not to anoint a dead body but a live one. A woman, very possibly Mary Magdelene - already did an unexpected thing of her when she supposedly wasted [ according to the disciples indignant view] very expensive spices on Jesus' feet earlier on. Luke 7:37-39 And Jesus even rebuked His own disciples because of that act and His own disciples were astonished at Him forgiving Her sins - so she was a well known prostitute seemingly. [Luke 7:44-50] Were any of those questions in the Olivet prophecy directed at Jesus - asking about a future destruction of the second temple - and a 'second' coming - some 2000 years into the disciples future? as many in Christendom think? Futurists at least, do still think that - but not the Preterists - IF that group still exists. [Refer to Wikipedia articles on 'Futurism' and /or 'Preterism' for relevant details. Acts, 1:1-12 Shows the disciples were disabused of their earlier notion in the Olivet prophecy that Jesus was going to Set up His kingdom there and then in that first century when They obviously rephrased their question as to WHEN he would 'Restore the Kingdom to Israel' instead: "When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power." [Acts 1:6-7] Clearly Jesus filled them in on and corrected the Gaps in their previous understanding of His purposes on Earth at that time - AFTER He emerged alive - from that Tomb. Jesus had already told Pontius Pilate at His crucifixion trial - that His Kingdom was not of that Age - but apparently they didn't Get that - until after He was resurrected when He obviously taught them much more during that 40 day period before His ascension from the Mount of Olives: "Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice." [John 18:35-37] Were the Two Mary's expecting to anoint a dead Body or a Live one? That of course is still open to speculation. But I personally believe they were expecting a 'live' one. ;)

Not saved by works: Salvation is an act of God, a change of nature [Ezek 11:19], so then we become His seed instead of Adam's ...this can't be done by works (human effort or reward), it must be done by our Creator. Doing good works: Once saved I.e. you have become the seed of God by adoption (no longer a servant - trying by works) it will be natural for you to do right, care for people, behaviour based on unconditional love; or find aspects of your life where you do wrong (able to be convicted) or wage wage or are hateful, self-abusive etc...and go to the great High Priest and be changed...the same way the patriarchs and prophets of old became great with God. Then you will be able to do those works. The bible - both old and new testaments contain much truth that must be wrestled with to know. May the God of Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Elijah, Ruth, David, Solomon, Isaiah, Daniel, bless you.

Interested in your comment. Part: ..The women..to anoint the body of the Lord. The women (2 different ones usually thought to) have anointed Jesus were written of NT before Lord's Supper. 1 was Mary Magdalene, & it mentions it was in preparation for what was going to happen. To reinforce physical not only spiritual aspects. To maintain health & help to overcome what he was to go through. 2 others helped Jesus on his walk after flogging & crown of thorns being on. The woman with cloth that wiped his face may have been prepared to help clean & heal his face. A man stepped up to him with a drink. He took a sip he then refused the rest of it. When on the cross he had another drink. 1 was gall, bitter yet known for healing (Book of Titus) the other contained vinegar known for healing purposes then & used in present times (mixed with water & honey or with other juice combinations for health. Everything not explained in bible, yet what is along with other knowledge improves understanding.

One of the problems with Christianity is that most Christian Sunday sermons are either solely about the New Testament or are Joel Osteen style sermons that have very little to do with either the New or Old Testament. Most of Joel Osteen’s sermons resemble improved motivational speaker Tony Robbins type lectures on how to be successful in life. Deuteronomy 4:2 basically says not to substitute other Joel Osteen type material for the Old Testament that supports Christianity’s adulterous, idolatrous worship of idols, money & financial success. The reason the Old Testament is so important is that the Old Testament is more or less a history book of the human race. And if you don’t learn from history, you are doomed to repeat the same mistakes you have made in the past. The main problem with the New Testament is that in terms of a history book, it only goes back to the time of JC. The New Testament just doesn’t cover a very long time period. The Old Testament goes back to creation of the universe and covers a much larger time frame. The big question is about whether or not Christians should be worried in the least. The answer is found in Isaiah 27:1 with the Leviathan representing Christianity. G - - always lives up to His promises.

The women are still distraught , they are curious and scared , certainly but moved to action, they are informed of the impending resurrection yet as all followers they are uncertain of what to expect. That the spices were taken care of and this is unbeknownst to all of the followers is not difficult to understand in the pressure to bury Jesus after the turmoil and the late hour proceeding the Crucifixion. That a stone is moved by an Almighty G-d is a minuscule matter. Mary the Magdalene does not grab Jesus, nor does she physically touch her in any way in fact told by the Lord not to.

Cop1 says, "I was frisking the defendant but I did not take his wallet. I only tapped it, demanding 'Why do you have a wallet when you said you didn't have an I.D.?' But I absolutely did not take his wallet." Cop2 says, "Cop1 felt the defendant's wallet and determined it was an artfully concealed weapon, so he took his wallet for officer safety." The prosecutor will probably lose their case unless one of the cops is shown to be correct. Example 2: Three witnesses state that Joshua was nailed up on the 15th of Nisan. The fourth says it was done on the 14th. The jury will think, WTH!? Actually those witnesses are Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John. The four NT gospels.

Beautiful post. Hashem never "punishes" His servants, He is either teaching a lesson or purifying the person, all rooted in love, to bring His servant/son closer to Him, which is the true ultimate good. His "punishment" is actually allowing sinners & idolaters to continue in their mistaken path without correcting them, and He blesses sinners with abundant financial success to distract them from spirituality and from finding the truth so that they never come to the truth/don't succeed in coming close to Him. That's one of the secrets of our tradition to the verse "and God put at the entrance to the garden of Eden the flaming turning sword to protect the path of the Tree of Life", and what is said in psalm 92 "a fool doesn't understand this: how wicked people flourish like grass, only to destroy them for eternity", since God is a God of perfect Justice, sinners have good deeds too, and so He gives them physical tranquility in this world as a reward for their good deeds, but only to expire all merits from them for the world of Truth, that is God's true punishment. That is also one of the secrets of our tradition to the verse "and He pays to His haters to their faces to destroy them", "to their faces" meaning, here in this world, to expire them of all merits for the world of Truth. The opposite is true with whom He loves, He cleanses them of their small amounts of sins here in this world through different hardships, all so that they are ready and pure to bask in Him without delay when they leave this world. About such it is said "how deep are Your thoughts", if only people understood that God runs this world with what our tradition calls "the attribute of wine", the person who indulges in it at first feels like the world is smiling at them, until the wine totally destroys them. This concept is so much so, that in our tradition in the talmud it says that if someone goes 2 weeks without anything bad/uncomfortable happening to them (like even stubbing ones toe for example) they need to greatly worry and repent because it is not a good sign. [Additional note: this does not mean that rigtheous people cannot be blessed with abundant wealth too, the difference is, that when God blesses rigtheous people with wealth He knows that it will not distract them and that they will only use their abundance for more and more Mitzvot and hospitality and kindness and for spreading truth, in thus causing for them more and more merits and closeness to God].

If he was speared and out came blood and water that means his pericardial sac had filled with water and then his heart blew up, and the centurion, SAINT Cassius Longinus, drove the spear right through the lung and punctured the sac. No way would he survive that. But this meaning is really allegorical and refers to the mystic blood of Christ (see Hebrews) and water baptism. So it probably didn't happen IRL because the synoptics don't include it and Paul never mentioned it.

You have missed the most obvious thing. In Matthew 28: 8-10 the women are on their way to tell the disciples what the angel had told them, but Jesus meets them on the way before they get to the disciples. So Mary Magdalene and the other Mary have actually *seen* Jesus. So why then in John 20:2 would Mary Magdalene come running to Simon Peter and the other disciple and say "They have taken Jesus out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him". When *she* has already *met* Jesus (Matthew 28: 9) when they were on their way to the disciples.

As a Christian, I don't have a problem identifying which person wrote which Gospel. Matthew, Mark and Luke all cover 2 events that only Peter and James and John saw. From there it is not all that difficult to determine that Peter would have the most detailed account as he was gathered first and he was with the women who came to the tomb on Sunday morning. Mark and Luke were written by the brothers James and John. The Gospel of John was written by the unnamed Disciple of John the Baptist. That Gospel covers many events between Jesus coming back from the 40 day fast and when John was put into prison. Peter was not at the cross, so he was unaware that the body had been washed according to burial practices. The women at the cross told the Apostles (Peter, James, and his brother John) what happened at the cross. It is not that hard to compile a list of which women were at the cross as they were the same group that came to the tomb. Rather than all 4 narratives being different, it takes all 4 to tell the complete story from His arrest until the baptism of 11 people in the evening (2nd day of the week) after the day of His resurrection. The reference to 'the other Mary' is referencing Mary of Bethany, as that is who the beloved Disciple of John the Baptist is. Lu:24:10: It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles. Mary M. would have told Peter, the Mother of James and John would have told them. M't:27:61: And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre. M't:28:1: In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. It is a bit sad to see the blindness God placed on Jews show itself where the NT is mocked and holes invented where none exist, compared to when rational people have the same text before them. That rational explanation is never accepted for that same reason, with a touch of vanity included, as no Gentile should be able to come up with a clearer version than a Jewish Rabbi can offer. The House of Judah was not the house that Priests came from, that is the House of Levi. To be Jewish and from the House of Levi you would have to have been born in Judea like Jesus was. The list of women at the cross includes all the names mentioned in all 4 accounts. The most important verse in the whole story is never mentioned, that is also a sign of blindness as it is referencing the bruise in the verses below: Joh:19:30: When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. Isa:53:10: Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. Ge:3:15: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. A Christian the belongs to the Re:1 group has a better understand of the whole Bible than any 'false Christian' or any OT only believer. Obviously, being mocked by those two groups only means they cannot mesh any of the NT with the OT. Such as Ge:3:15 being expanded on in all of Re:12. Such as Ge:1-3 and Re:20-22 being a summation of who God in Ge:1:1 is as well as explaining the past, present and future of 'His earth'. If these easy examples are rejected, then meshing Revelation and Daniel would be beyond the ability of any 'false Christian' or Jewish person, no matter their level of 'expertise'. Mary of Bethany being the beloved Disciple is an example that is very clear when you read with a certain level of 'clarity'. Hopefully being naive is the cause for that rejection rather than it is an intentional lie. 1Tm:1:10: For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; 2Tm:4:3: For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

I'm a noahide but this time I think rabbi Singer made a mistake. The REAL problem with the narrative of the gospels is that they claim that Jesus was dead for "3 days and 3 nights" but in fact, he was dead for LESS THAN 2 DAYS (according to the gospels, he died on Friday afternoon just before Sabbath and resurrected on Sunday morning). Now it's perfectly understandable why these women went up to put spices on his body: because they didn't have the chance to do it before because it was Sabbath and they couldn't buy spices on Sabbath to put on his body. So they had to wait until Sabbath was over, to buy those spices and then to go there to put spices on his body. That solves the issue of "why the women decided to go there after the body was buried to put spices on him". The MAIN problem is that they didn't go there 3 days after he was dead, but actually, they went there in less than 48 hours after Jesus died (they just waited for the Sabbath to end). The gospels claim that Jesus was dead for 3 days, this is the real problem. If you read carefully you'll find out that Jesus was dead for less than 48 hours.

Jesus died on the Passover day - a Wednesday that year, and was put into the tomb very late on that day, as the sabbath was drawing on - the next day (Thursday) was a HIGH SABBATH - the first day of unleavened bread . There was no time to buy new spices, apart from those Joseph of Arimathea may have already possessed. The word for "as the sabbath was drawing on" is only used twice in the new testament, once when Christ's body was put into the tomb at sunset on Wednesday evening, and once when the sabbath was passing and the first day of the week was making its appearance when Jesus walked out of the open tomb "as the sun was showing above the horizon". (Saturday sunset). The women had no time to buy spices on Wednesday and they rested on the first day of unleavened bread (Thursday), bought and prepared spices on Friday (a work day), then rested on the weekly sabbath (Saturday) and came to the tomb saturday evening. Mary had gone there earlier and was waiting at the tomb in the end of the sabbath.

@James Hayes; it does not make sense to anoint a dead body three days after the body was already anointed. It's a contradiction where the Synoptics contradict John's Gospel. Specifically; - John (19:38-40) says that Joseph of Arimathea & Nicodemus had anointed the body soon after death. "Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. ... Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, ... Taking Jesus’ body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen." - Mark (16:1) & Luke (24:1) have the women going to the tomb to anoint a body which was already anointed. The women according to Mark (15:47) , Matthew (27:61) & Luke (23:55) would have known about the anointing by Joseph of Arimathea & Nicodemus because those gospels say the women witnessed the burial, so they would have seen those two men anoint the body had those two done that.
@jameshayes2112 жыл бұрын
@@bb1111116 You may assert that the women had no good reason to intend to anoint Yeshua's body on the third day, but that doesn't prove a contradiction. @bb11111162 жыл бұрын
@@jameshayes211 ; imo the definition of contradiction can go beyond the binary/mathematical definition of, ""A" and "not-A" are true." Instead contradiction can have further definitions and be a matter of opinion about actions which appear inconsistent. Examples; * The Free Dictionary/The American Heritage® Dictionary; a. "An inconsistency or discrepancy: "Surprisingly few people saw a contradiction between freedom for whites and bondage for slaves" b. Inconsistency; discrepancy: practices that are in contradiction to human rights." * Lexico/Oxford UK Dictionary; "A situation in which inconsistent elements are present. ‘the paradox of using force to overcome force is a real contradiction’" * MERRIAM-WEBSTER DICTIONARY; "a situation in which inherent factors, actions, or propositions are inconsistent ..." * I would like to move on from this pedantic debate. Still I need to state, the way I see this is that a contradiction can involve the opinions of the observers/commentators of the events in question about what appears inconsistent. * I'll give further background to my view of the inconsistency of the passion narrative, specifically about the contradictory nature of anointing a body right after death & then anointing the same body 3 days after death. * In the Lazarus story from the Gospel of John, 11:39, the issue of the odor of a dead corpse is mentioned as well as the idea of not opening a tomb after 4 days due to the odor (which is very close to the 3 days that Jesus was in the tomb according to the Gospels). John 11:39; "39 “Take away the stone,” he said. “But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”" * When Lazarus emerged, the bandages show that he had already been anointed. There was no reason, as described by his sister, to disturb that body which would include trying to anoint him a second time. "44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face." * Now we come again to John (19:38-40) which says that Joseph of Arimathea & Nicodemus had anointed the body soon after death. - And after that, in Mark (16:1) & Luke (24:1) the women were going to the tomb to anoint a decaying for 3 days body with a bad odor which was already anointed. * For you that is not a contradiction according to the definition you use. For me it is both an inconsistency and a contradiction according to the definitions which I use.

I remember hearing a christian teach how the contradictions in the gospels could be explained by it simply being a story told by multiple people. Basically he compared it to a class where someone walked in and hit a person in the classroom and left, and the students couldn't even remember the details like the persons shirt color, gender, face, etc. They all just agreed it happened.
@big-boss-bear44612 жыл бұрын
The problem is that these so called different accounts where written by people who were writing the gospels while supposedly being guided and inspired by the holy spirit. So they are basically saying that the holy spirit guided some writers to write down one event of the story and then changed the details to another writer and then again to another, etc. The holy spirit either lied or changed or misguided theses writers to write down different details of the same story. While in the example of the students in the class room, the holy spirit had no part in what they witnessed or what they wrote about in the students recollections of events. Christians either have to conclude that the writers where not inspired by the holy spirit and the storys are made up with contradictory statemens, errors, mythology, fables, folklore, etc or that the holy spirit is not consistent and misguides or decives or changes details etc.. they cant have it both ways.

Shalom Mr. Singer. Why do you always say The Bible told ridiculous made up story, whereas you already knew there was Moshiakh's statement written about His ressurection. Mark 14:58 wrote: “We have heard Him say, 'I shall destroy this temple that is made with hands and in three days I shall build another that is not made with hands." That is the only reason the women came back to the tomb three day after the death of Moshiakh's flesh to put spices to the body. For they believe the body shall rise again from the death. It's not mine or anyone's assumption, but it is the fact the true story written in The Bible. On the contrary to your statement, what we all netizens found out and realize that: it is only you who first start making up ridiculous statement, saying The Bible contradict with each other. John wrote The death Body of Moshiakh was spiced up before the burial. And that is not the correction John made to Luke's or to Matthew's stories, but that is the truth of John's testimony. Also when Matthew and Luke wrote the women came return to the tomb three days after the death for spices, the story also true. The women believe the word of Ha-Moshiakh about His ressurection. There is no contradiction whatsoever between Matthew, Luke, or John. It is only you who made up your rebutal claim because you never believe Ha-Shem YHVH's Body came down to earth as The Son of Man, as Ha-Moshiakh, who came in Ha-Shem YHVH. So what else is new? Person like you will always everywhere not just from long ago when Ha-Moshiakh YHVH live on earth, but from present time, and from the future as well. Exactly for the person like you, Ha-Moshiakh YHVH says these words; "I have come in My Father’s NAME (YHVH), and you do not accept ME; but if someone else comes in his own title name (Yeshuati or Iesous), you will accept him" (John 5:43). You know Ha-Moshiakh NAME is YHVH, but you insist calling HIM with other Name (iesous, or yeshua). The Bible wrote The Name of Ha-Moshiakh in many occasions. But you never admit and try to divert all people from realizing they are wrong to call Ha-Moshiakh NAME as iesous or yeshua. Both Yeshua or Iesous are only Title Name. Yeshuati means YHVH our Salvation. But all netizen have realized never happen in real life any Title omit The Name who belong the Title and change The Name who belong the Title. If someone Named A has the Title of Doctor, then never happen His Name A dissapears suddenly changed as Doctor. The Name A stand exist, while The Title Doctor shall always be a Title. That is the truth. Again i say, what else is new? We know already. Emeth.

@spacemanspiff97732 жыл бұрын
First, you are conflating “on the third day” and the “three days.” The burial was done in haste on Friday before sundown because sabbath will start shortly. Then when they returned on Sunday early that morning, i.e., still dark, it would’ve been only 36 hours at the most. Furthermore, cave-tombs were cooler than ambient temperature which slowed down the decomposition process. The spice “issue” is really a non-sequitur. The most important aspect of the passion of Christ is that it was foretold in Psalm 16.10, “For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption.” Mary “discovered” Jesus had risen from the dead because the tomb was empty! So there could only be two solutions for the missing body: (1) someone has taken it or (2) he has risen from the dead. As for the alleged “contradiction” in Mary’s question of what happened to the body, if you read the entire passage, you’ll see that she was at the tomb twice. It was during her second trip that she was told by the angels that Jesus rose from the dead. The text clearly answered your question had you read it thoroughly.

The Rabbi raises interesting points as usual, but I would offer one correction. He asks why would the women apply spices to a body that had been interred for 3 days? But it wasn't 3 days, it was only a day and a half. He was crucified Friday evening, so Saturday evening would be one day. Sunday am is 1.5 days, at least by that particular Gospel. With some of the other Gospel accounts, you might could argue it's getting closer to 2 days, but still not 3 days. But that doesn't nullify the Rabbi's point, this is just a minor point of clarification. Of course, the fact that he's gone in 1-2 days is another big contradiction, but I leave that one for the reader to investigate and ponder.

And the bruises caused by the crown of thorns. A crown of thorn which should represent the Jewish martyrs who were fighting against the Roman pagan empire who destroyed the Holy Temple and brought into the Holy Temple their icons they worshipped. Jesus wasn't the only one on the cross, thousands of Jewish people were crussified as well. The blood of the Jews filled the ground of the land, and so much emphasis have been placed on the death of this man who his cult followers made it a big deal because these men didn't care for the well being of the Jewish people!

Question found in timeline 4:52: “Why women would come to a tomb, three days after a burial…?” Mr. Singer, Your assessment of why both Mary’s waited until after three days to anoint Mashiach maybe because of the following sequence of events, vice your simplistic supposition. • On Erev Pesach 13/14 day of Abib, Yeshua was eating with his brothers. • On Pesach 14th day of Abib (No Work, Sabbath Rest), Yeshua stood trial before Pontius Pilate - That same afternoon Yeshua’s physical body dies on the stake. - That same evening Yeshua was taken by Yosef of Ramatayim to be buried. • On 15/16th of Abib, at twilight that same evening it was the 1st Day of Unleavened Bread (Special High Sabbath Rest). Yeshua’s body was being guarded. The messianic Jews were mourning while still trying to honor the high sabbath. • On 16th/17th of Abib (Bikkurim (First Fruits)) also a day of rest and no work because it fell on the Actual Sabbath (seventh) day of the week. • On 17th/18th of Abib both Mary’s bring the Spices. Now tell me, where, in the timeline, would you find time to anoint Mashiach?

The Moshiach of the Bible comes at the End of the Days just as Isaiah prophesied. The Moshiach of the Bible Dies for No one, he Atones for No one's sins, he is Not born of a Virgin, he is Not the Son of Gd, he is Not Gd in the flesh, he is Not a Sacrificial Resurrecting demigod who dies for the People, as all those are PAGAN CONCEPTS derived from PAGAN MYTH, Not the Bible/Judaism. Your Pagan Greco Roman christos is but a composite of a myriad of Greco Roman Man Made Idols, PERSEUS THE VIRGIN BORN DEMIGOD, DIONYSUS THE WATER INTO WINE MIRACLE MAKING IDOL and MITHRAS THE DYING RESURRECTING IDOL whose Devotees like Christians EAT OF THE FLESH AND DRINK OF THE BLOOD, like his sidekick the Devil and his lake of fire, they are but 2 characters found only in the Greek Tall Tales of Man and Joe Smith Jr.'s Book of Mormon, NOT the Bible/Judaism.

Paula, TORAH acknowledges everything you just denied. Don't intrepid the WORD by way of the world, but through the Spirit of YsHWH. At this point, there is nothing I can say to convince you otherwise. Everything about Abba is spirit and not physical. This is probably why most of what you read in the prophesies don't make sense to you, because you only accept it from a worldly perspective (e.g., oral traditions). If you think I'm wrong, then who is TORAH talking about in this passage? "Adonai made me as the beginning of his way, the first of his ancient works. I was appointed before the world, before the start, before the earth’s beginnings. When I was brought forth, there were no ocean depths, no springs brimming with water. I was brought forth before the hills, before the mountains had settled in place; he had not yet made the earth, the fields, or even the earth’s first grains of dust. When he established the heavens, I was there. When he drew the horizon’s circle on the deep, when he set the skies above in place, when the fountains of the deep poured forth, when he prescribed boundaries for the sea, so that its water would not transgress his command, when he marked out the foundations of the earth, I was with him as someone he could trust. For me, every day was pure delight, as I played in his presence all the time, playing everywhere on his earth, and delighting to be with humankind." ~Proverbs 8:22-31

@@hrvatskinoahid1048 Very well then, "It talks about the Torah.." as you've indicated. Then tell me, Brother, what exactly is it telling us? Who was with YHWH as someone he could trust? For whom was every day a pure delight? Who played everywhere on YHWH's earth? Who delighted to be with humankind?
