Allegedly both Hindenburg Research and Nikola Motors maybe in legal jeopardy due their actions. Does the data on either or both sides of the equation “prove intent to profit through knowingly or should have know unethical (civil) to unlawful (criminal) means harming (defraud) others (victims)”? Theses are some of the key data areas investigators (SEC, FBI etc) maybe searching for, the SEC, DOJ etc. reviewing and deciding the next steps, if any, for Nikola Motors and/or Hindenburg Research. Specifically, detailed data will be forensically uncovered and quantitatively & qualitatively analyzed, proving or disproving beyond a reasonable doubt, if Nikola intent was/is to defraud others through means they knew or should have known are alleged willful acts directly harming others for financial gain etc. The same Equal Justice of the Law ⚖️ applies to Hindenburg who allegedly withheld alleged damaging Nikola data allegedly until such time doing so and/or in the manner of doing so, allegedly were financially motivated to maximize Hindenburg Research as “Nikola Short Seller” profits through various allegedly willful acts they knew or should have known directly harms others including but not limited to current and/or future new Nikola investors, Nikola strategic partners, Nikola employees, creditors, Nikola stock prices, credit ratings, marketing name values etc. What Are Hindenburg Research Motives (Intent): 1)How did they obtain each data point and from who/whom? 2)When did they obtain each data point? 3)Why the timing of the release of data allegations? 4)Why the method of data release? 5)Why didn’t Hindenburg and insiders turn data quietly over to the proper regulators and investigators such as the SEC, FBI, DOJ, etc first? 6)What, how and who/whom did Hindenburg’s alleged Nikola “fraud data” disclosures, timing and methods of disclosures allegedly benefit: Was it their portfolio, other individuals, other companies, etc.? 7)Were there bribes, blackmail or some sort of payola involved? Hindenburg allegedly publicly publishing their alleged Nikola data then Nikola allegedly was the first to file a complaint to the SEC potentially compromises both sides of a civil and/or criminal investigation giving time for both parties to potentially delete data, bleach and acid wash hard drives, smart phones, shred documents, etc. Conclusion: Post IPO Nikola has shown and video documented working semi trucks under their own power they claim have hydrogen fuel cells. Investigators will be looking very closely at those alleged hydrogen fuel cell trucks 🔎 🚛 👀 and Nikola IPO financial data. The flow chart of investigative data on both sides of the equation has just begun as the law grinds very slow and fine. Cheers🍻 KP

Easy answer. Milton doesn't know what the terms mean. In one interview he used megawatts as a unit of energy (claiming the 3.5 megawatts of solar on the roof of their headquarters "produces 18 megawatts per day"). Megawatts isn't a unit of energy. Megawatt-hours is. No one who knows anything about EVs - or tech in general...particularly if they are leading a 'tech' company in the field of EVs and hydrogen - would make that mistake...Oh, and there aren't any solar panels on the roof of Nikola headquarters in case you were wondering. Look it up on google maps). In another interview he was asked if the truck would be level 4 autonomous. And he clearly didn't know what that meant but after a second of looking confused just lied "sure, we'll bring in someone to do that for us". Here's a hint: if you haven't already designed in the sensors to give you the data your truck isn't going to be autonomous. Not level 5, 4, 3, 2 or 1

Something does not smell right. In 2015-2016 I thought Nikola had a great product. An electric semi that had a charging of the batteries by a small turbine. I recall a fairly high price but it made sense given the trucks supposed capabilities. They were taking deposits. Shortly after, Tesla introduced their fully electric semi. Basically Nikolas “idea” quickly became worthless. It looks like Trevor, et al, panicked at this point and tried to reinvent themselves. They introduced the semi with a fuel cell. That was suspicious. They must have hated Tesla. The fact that Nikola has been able to go public and raise the billions that they have , is astonishing. What’s even more astonishing is that given the allegations and DOJ / SEC investigations the stock price has actually gone up.

Hydrogen for trucks and furthermore cars is a scam, or at least a very bad idea. It is quite simple : - Battery-EV : grid -> battery -> motor - PAC-EV : grid -> electrolysis -> compression -> transportation -> distribution -> PAC -> battery -> motor And some steps have very bad efficiency : electrolysis, compression, and transportation. The issue is that no more petrol and coal implies we will have access to ten times less energy even going full speed on renewable energy (mainly wind and solar). So we cannot switch to a low efficiency technology for transportation, we will just not have enough. Furthermore there is a big risk that this hydrogen will be produced from petrol, so it is not even good for the climate change. My conclusion is that producing hydrogen by electrolysis is good, *but* to replace the *huge* volume of hydrogen produced for the industry. Then, if we have abundant energy (fusion ? in 50 years ?) and produce more hydrogen than the industry needs, will we think about hydrogen for trucks.
@peterzerfass46094 жыл бұрын
You forgot cooling. Compressing heats up the hydrogen. At the filling station the hydrogen needs to be cooled after coming from low pressure storage to the high pressure reservoir at the pump (from 90°C after compression to -40°C before being able to be pumped into the car). This takes time and a LOT of energy. This is why you can only fuel about two cars per pump per hour at a hydrogen fueling station. The idea that you can 'quickly refuel with hydrogen' is a myth. Only the first car refuels quickly. The second and subsequent cars are there exactly as long as you would be at a supercharger charging up your EV. (and you have to wait in your H2-car until you can pull up to the pump. Something you don't have to do with an EV)
@didierpuzenat72804 жыл бұрын
@@peterzerfass4609 Thanks, I was indeed unaware of the need to cool. But I don't understand when it occurs. I would say just after compression since the hydrogen is transported compressed from the production facility to the distribution station. And I assume that the hydrogen is stored at a higher pressure in the distribution station than in the car. So the act of filling the car may produce cold, not heat. Or maybe you are considering a production at the point of distribution ? It is indeed possible, for example for a remote station, in the middle of nowhere, with a few vehicules "refueled" each day. And the point is that since hydrogen efficiency production is low, such a remoted station would be able to charge more cars/day with the same surface of solar panel. And I would assume that such an installation would be more expensive with hydrogen than batteries. But of course all is not bad, such a remote station would be able to store for a long time whatever the temperature. However this scenario is far away from the scenario of a trucks on a main road.

The driver just sees the load pay or miles. 90% of drivers have no clue what goes on in the background to broker loads. How does a 33 mile trip that weighs less than 5000 pounds pay over 300 dollars yet 600 miles pays 1000 dollars to the truck? I'm not sticking up for Trevor at all. Just correcting pay by weight.

It goes deeper. 1. Stephen Girsky who is a former VP of GM and probably very close to Mary Barra. 2. Stephen Girsky who is also the "founder" of VectoIQ. 3. Stephen Girsky who brokered the reverse merger with Nikola to IPO to speed up the scam timeline and avoid SEC probing 4. Stephen Girsky who is on the board of Nikola 5. Stephen Girsky who brokered the deal with Nikola and GM 6. Many are wondering why Bosch, Ivesco and others have been silence while Nikola stock still hold. But Bosch, Ivesco, VectoIQ and technically GM have a huge financial interest in saying nothing because their shares are locked until December 3. They can't sell, yet. 7. Many are claiming GM has nothing to lose because it is a one sided partnership: a) $2B in stock/11% b) $700M in cash to build out c) use all GM technologies to build and sell back so the Badger is just a name tag. However, because of Stephen Girsky, the deal can be construed as a collusion between GM, VectoIQ and Nikola to manipulate stock price. 8. Mary Barra would be stupid to gamble with the SEC and DOJ investigation. It's a safe bet that she would pull out of the deal before the closing date. 9. A class action lawsuit has been filed. It was announced but now officially filed. It is actually incredulous that Nikola shareholders are so stupid to still hold on to the stock, but my guess is none of them actually read. They just read the "regurgitated news".

When NKLA went public through the reverse merger it was clear then that the central players were not reputable, unproven and had designed short executive cash out windows unaligned with long term investors and whose compensation was unencumbered by any company production milestones. No one with any actual business sense would risk capital investing in a company structured that way. Enter 2020. An astonishing number of people are willing to dismiss traditional evaluation metrics in favor of the verbal, aspirational sales pitch. Unfortunately when confronted with inconsistencies or a lack of promised accomplishments the same people/retail investors double down and defend their perspectives by impugning the characters of the information delivery men. NKLA is an emotion over accomplishment cautionary tale of this era.

Ive done my fair share of research on Nikola this is a very well put together condensation of the state of affairs of the company. You earned my sub.

GM just needed a nice EV subbrand. They will produce a Nikola truck, just not Trevor’s one. They got 11% share in NKLA, $700M cash from Nikola. If/when the deal closes (it is only signed at this moment) GM is fine. Not sure what is possible If it does not close.
@timypp28944 жыл бұрын
I'm scratching my head why GM has put some money into the company. I mean surely GM must have done some due diligence before signing? Must have got their engineers to look at the "engine" and all the other gubbings. If not, then it's one massive egg on GM management faces and lot of explaining to their shareholders.

Nikola is basically the exact opposite of Tesla. They've been making super sketchy big claims for years now. If they at least had a working, production ready prototype like the Roadster before they went public, I might have considered investing. But it just sounds like Nikola is built on a bed of lies and flawed vehicle concepts. More than anything, I think Nikola is just a big scam intended only to capitalize on Tesla's success and to enrich the CEO and his buddies (why else would they name their company "Nikola"?).
@Bryan461624 жыл бұрын

I recently heard of Hyundai-Kia partnering with Nikola and I suspect that first of Nikola are going to be rebranded Hyundai.
@jorgeferreira44524 жыл бұрын
I think this is to create confusion to the public about electric mobility. The majority of the misinformation may create some bad ideas about other companies (Tesla) versus big oil dependent ice manufacturers... and the arrangements between Nikola and GM get my thought in that direction. They could "loose" some billions but that is investing in bad advertising in renewal energy sector.

Never gave this company much thought as the fragility of PEM cells & H2 production burden are to stay for a while. However from a distance it looked legit, an expensive H2 project vehicle/ecosystem. Hearing how he speaks about PEM cells/technology should raise more red flags than they self could ever pay for.

The SEC and now Justice department have now gotten involved. It will be interesting to see how Nikola tries to spin their actions. They've already admitted to many of the most damning but seem to be trying to argue that it's OK because [insert technicality here]. I'm not sure that many of the investors who gave Milton and Nikola money will be satisfied. They invested in Nikola because of their advanced proprietary technology and thus potential future earnings. From a shareholder perspective, it's bad that this advanced technology doesn't seem to exist... but the worst part about these OEM deals is that Nikola is now just printing stock to pay GM and others for the privilege of using THEIR technology, manufacturing and engineering know-how which then dilutes their original investments in Nikola. I smell future class action.

When he jokes during the conference that he won't allow anyone in the cabin of the truck on fear of them driving away, I'm shocked the audience didn't simply reply this: "Fine by us. Why don't you go up there yourself and fire it up to show us it's actually working?". This guy pretends from day one he has amazing new ground-breaking hydrogen technology and never ever displayed an actual single cell delivering power to a light bulb. But he makes sure all the design and display is all shiny and bright. This is just a beautiful empty shell company displaying beautiful empty shell assets. I understand investors are willing to take risks for high return. But come on, this is one of the oldest scams and I'm really surprised it still works so well on such a large scale. The truck is moving... On a straight line in the middle of a deserted area with no reference point to evaluate the angle of the road and the speed of the truck and no external witness to vouch for it. Are GM so desperate that they need to invest in such an obvious fraud for PR greenwashing? They would have much more success at a lower cost by developing their own battery in house. They will only lose money on this one.

A video online told the story of the Nikola board-of-directors (major Investors) reportedly being upset that Milton was liquidating shares to buy this $38 million dollar estate but ultimately decided to let him have his house "because you can't have a guy being worried about his living circumstances when he should be focused on the business".... oh really... meanwhile Elon Musk is sleeping in the factory staying there to all hours trying to work out manufacturing problems to smooth out production and increase volume of units.... How many units a week is Nikola making - ZERO - how many proto-types is Nikola building and testing - ZERO -. What Nikola does have is a $38 million dollar estate and a more TOYS than a spoiled child!!!! That's what TREVOR MILTON has built so far!
