Side effects are more accurately described as "Direct Effects". Their purpose is to cause new ailments which require additional medication. Increase drug sales. It's a business decision.

Thanks Jeff! Wow- this was 20 years ago? I remember hearing of Dr. Eric Topol’s efforts to stop Vioxx while at the Cleveland Clinic. Patient efforts to enforce “patient safety “ have been thwarted for decades- despite iatrogenic harm being the 3rd leading cause of death for us. I believe it is greater. Don't get me wrong, we all love a good whistleblower but in this instance the whistleblower was complicit for many years in green lighting drugs the industry (and) regulatory community knew would harm the public. I am of the belief that all pharmaceutical drugs are deliberately designed to injure the human body (liver, kidneys, immune function, nervous system, microbiome, brain). The resulting damage increases the need for more drugs to remedy the initial drug induced injury. It's a business decision to increase sales. It's very dark but it's important that we have a sobering look at what's happening here to people on a massive scale.
