Canucks would be crazy to trade a young EP40 and keep an aging JT Miller instead. What the rumour probably is about are calls between Van and Buf about these players. Could the trade happen, sure maybe. But it isn't shocking that teams are calling and asking about EP40. Ya Dylan Cozens is young too but no way in hell are the Canucks going to trade EP40 for Cozens as a replacement at C and then just let JT age into obscurity. It baffles me that some Canucks fans even think this is a good idea LOL.

At the end of the day, it is the "team" that wins hockey games and gives you "Compete". I must admit some of Petterson's self-indulging, pouty interviews have rubbed me the wrong way, as well as the fact that he all but disappeared in the Playoffs last year and, in fact, the latter part of the season since signing his "franchise player" contract. It makes sense to keep the player who is most passionate about winning-- like Vancouver fans-- and shows up when it counts. I do not hold competitiveness over Miller's head as at the end of the day hockey is a competitive sport and Vancouver is a competitive hockey market; however, if his personality is indeed overwhelming the rest of the team as some analysts seem to suggest then I would resign myself to moving Miller as long as the Canucks mgmt. make a SMART trade that truly improves the TEAM.

It the sabers were to get him the trade would have to be a lot more the trade could be elis petterson, Brock besser, nlis hoglander,2025 2nd to buffalo for Dylan cozens, bryam, Jack Quinn, isic rozen, 2025 1st, 2026 1st, 2027 1st 2025 2nd, 2026 2nd, 2027 3rd, or instead of some of the 1st we give them jj pertica but i would rather give them the picks if we trade for a top center we can't just go after 1 player or we would just be like a rotating tire we need more to get ahead and finalize the rebuild we could give besser the money he wants plus he brings power and physical demand and give us that edge so I'm liking this plus we get a good young player what good are draft picks at this point we have enough youth we need experience I would roll the dice for once some might call me crazy but why not risk it we suck period and it time for a change and count us out for eny good free agents at the end of the year no one want to come here mybe if we do a big trade they might think twice because miko ratten from Colorado might be nice fit it would cost a lot but would be a good fit sorry for spelling on the name i would not want marner bad playoff experience.

How will Canucks fan feel? We're fine with it. Pettersson is a headcase, can't play unless he's the main guy getting all the minutes and accolades.

Not surprising. EP has been floating since signing huge contract. Not only that, he is a no show in big games, doesn't skate very well, and doesn't shoot anymore.

He was floating for months before that. He's a head case, can't play with elite players. He needs to be "the guy".

He walks around like he is king sh!t, does not address the media with any sort of engagement, which is a direct correlation to how he is on the ice, and I can only assume in the dressing room. I have a decent job, but there was a time when I was being too negative in the work place, my boss reminded me that I get paid to perform, and not to have a negative impact. It's a job, he needs to do the things that the fans are paying him for, and that brings up another point. I think he is forgetting who pays his bills, it's those people that are spending $300 CA per seat to watch his janky ass play hockey. Head case, sure, professional? Nope, he needs to grow up and realize it's not his right to play in the NHL, but a privilege that can be taken away.
