Such good hacks! Those vases were so pretty. And, I don't have a family heirloom cake stand, but I can find them when thrifting, so I'm going to hunt for some to do that tiered tray look. Now, Natalie, you are more powerful than you think. Why don't you design and make your own entry table. You can do it! Go for it, girl!!

About the “glass” in the frame… you need to pull off the protective film (on both sides) 😂 Thats why there was markings. It’s not on the actual glass.

As always, NataLee, your projects are top notch! I especially love the glass etching; so beautiful! I agree with you, sewing is a great skill to have. When I see people hot gluing fabric together, I always think sewing it would take half the time and the seam is more reliable, and even. That’s just my opinion, but I’ve been sewing since I was very young.

I would love to see your ideas for dorm room decorating!

On the vase, you can not use borosilicate glass. Ikea sells that kind of glass and it does not etch with Armour etch. Just saw a video by Jennifer Maker advising of that. Good idea using the spray frost. Turned out beautiful. Took a lemon and made lemonade.

Giving you a thumbs up was simply not enough for this vid. Love several of your creative hacks - I’m also someone who sews and liked the pillow cover bag (although I would probably do a solid strap) But the way you did the faux depression glass was ingenious and really lovely! Tip: I’ve never been satisfied with the DT contact paper, I prefer the Cricut brand transfer tape. Give it a try, now with the details you’re working with, I would use one that I used once or twice (yes, you can use Cricut transfers tape over and over again-as long as you don’t drop it adhesive side down on carpeting or floors with a sheddy fur baby in the house). I’ve hadn’t had any problems with the issue of getting off the backing. Only issue I had was it took off the paint off my S’well water bottle. Loving these hacks, now I’m definitely will be checking out those pillow cases and cloches! Ugg, a few weeks ago I donated my complete pink dish set to the Good Will! Figures! Loved you stacking the cake stands into a tier tray. I would put your grandmother’s on top because it’s stunning and you can see it better that way. Need to make a trip to that IKEA store when in Otown area again!!

Love your hacks, as always! I love the tribal design on the strap. The etched glass was gorgeous! I have a gorgeous wood Lazy Susan that I stained with rest-oleum chalked aged glaze and added half wood rounds to the edge. I am not happy with the finished product and not sure what kind of glaze I would use to make it shiny or do I just paint it white? I was thinking this morning when I saw your wood table centerpiece Lazy Susan that it would be nice to have your audience send in things like this and you help to finish them? I bet there are a lot of us out here that have projects just sitting there and we don’t know quite how to finish them? :-)🤷♀️🥰

I find it's easier to remove vinyl from the backing when you flip it over and remove the backing from the vinyl, not have it design side up and remove the vinyl from the backing. Also, I like contact paper for larger pieces, like you had...HOWEVER, it is not my favorite choice. It is much harder to get vinyl to stick to contact paper in my experience. My favorite transfer paper is from 143vinyl, their medium tack transfer tape. I also prefer their vinyl. I have never been a fan of Cricut brand vinyl. I just don't think it weeds well. The vase was gorgeous! I would love to see it etched! I bet that would be so pretty. I love your channel, you have helped me gather my courage and realize I can do more than I thought! TY!

NataLee, this is one of my favorite episodes so far! That damask vase is stunning! Did you make the cut file? I'd love a tutorial on that if you did! I've used ArmorEtch a good bit and have run into that a couple times. It's really frustrating when it happens! I love your purse (both straps are great but I like the tribal one better too) and love that you realize that a sewing machine is a power tool too! Brother and Singer both make quality machines at a good price point. I didn't know pink depression glass was back in, but we have some and I've never treated those beauties like they were out. haha. Great and easy projects that display just beautifully!!! You know…I have the same issue with that smart vinyl…I have tried different transfer sheets, besides Cricut, as well….no hope. I’m even having some trouble getting it OFF the transfer sheet onto certain surfaces where I’ve not had that issue before…whereas other regular vinyl like the Oracal brands…I don’t have an issue. I’m an advocate for Cricut also and do hope they are coming up with a solution, because it is soooooo nice not to have to pull a mat out and it weeds so wonderfully! Hugsies! Linda 😊

I think it helps the rest of realize that we are not total morons in the crafting department when we see you guys have mess ups too. Often times creators will cut out all the fail segments and show them only on practically perfect pristine outcomes which we know isn’t realistic but it sure helps remind us when you share these.

May I ask you sewing machine questions? I have only ever used Singers, primarily the one my dad gave my mom in 1957, and after that, ones I've purchased used. I've decided at age 62 it's time I had a new machine! Does your Brother sew thick material well, such as denim, upholstery fabric (seemed to do well with the pillow cover in this video), leather? Does the needle threader really work?? Do you ever have issues with the machine being computerized vs. just being mechanical? That makes me a little nervous. I'm sorry for all the questions; I'm glad to have someone to ask instead of relying on Amazon reviews! By the way, I loved learning from one of your videos that you have a home in Maine! I live in Scarborough, near Pine Point.

The vases are gorgeous, as are the cloches! I’ve got to put my Cricut to work. Being a bag maker, I adored your pillow cover bag, especially with its hidden zipper compartment! Being me, though, I would buy a second pillow cover so that the strap could be cut from it, plus have extra fabric for outer pockets, or a matching cosmetic bag for inside. I love IKEA, and I love your hacks! Thank you for your exciting ideas! (I think we shop at the same IKEA)

I was wondering if anyone would mention that. :) I just bought a frame from IKEA that I put at my kitchen desk with one of NataLee’s free printables. It’s the Easter Bunny with the stripes and the French wording and it looks ah-mazing!! There was protective film on both sides of the “glass” which is actually acrylic. Check it out, NataLee. Your “glass” will be even clearer if you peel it off of both sides. ❤️ Absolutely loved the damask and striped vases. More spray paint on my wish list. I’ve got them all stored in a hanging shoe organizer.

I just love your laugh! I am not a cricket user but I really loved your large glass vases! Question: do you have to use white vinyl for stencils? It looked really hard to pick the “weeds” out. Another question: if you turned your vinyl over and rolled the paper backing off, would it have been any easier? I also love the pink cake plate, but I wonder if it would have been more stable if you reversed the bottom piece… And also, the purse was brilliant, and I’ve been sewing way longer than you! The zipper and the hardware were really smart! I learn from you with every project and I sure wish all kids could learn more about sewing and building and fixing things in high school!!
