In the book, Voldemort also killed a German woman and her family in pursuit of Gregorovitch, and there are the goblins he massacred in a blind rage when they informed him Harry & Co had stolen the Hufflepuff Cup from Gringotts. In the movie, Griphook was among them. And who knows who else he killed in the First Wizarding War? That era in Voldemort history really needs a series of its own.

I often wonder if Tom killed Myrtle by accident. The way she described her death in The Chamber of Secrets sounded more like coincidence than intention on his part. Myrtle:“Ooooh, it was dreadful. It happened right in here. I died in this very stall. I remember it so well. I’d hidden because Olive Hornby was teasing me about my glasses. The door was locked, and I was crying, and then I heard somebody come in. They said something funny. A different language, I think it must have been. Anyway, what really got me was that it was a boy speaking. So I unlocked the door, to tell him to go and use his own toilet, and then...I died.” Harry:“How?” Myrtle:“No idea, I just remember seeing a pair of great big, yellow eyes.” Not that he was opposed to the idea of killing a filthy little mudblood. If so then it was a poorly planned and unnecessary risk. Considering he didn’t even think of framing Hagrid for his crimes until the very last minute.

The fact that we have no other recorded kills between the random Albanian who created one of the last horcruxes and the Potters is insane. The time frame between them is the entirety of the First War, not to mention any potential rivals or obstacles Tom would have also killed in that period before the war actually began while he was amassing potential followers in secret. The list should actually be overwhelming with the number of innocents Voldemort would want to kill directly, even if we assume he took a more secluded role towards the end of the first war.

The funny thing about Snape's death is that there's actually TWO reasons why it was pointless. First, obviously because he wasn't the real master of the Elder Wand, but the second reason is that Snape had nothing to lose by explaining the truth to Voldemort. Harry would have already disarmed Draco by this point, meaning that Voldemort might have been even more reckless in his pursuit of Harry than he already was, making his downfall potentially even faster.

EVERYONE Voldy included said (about karkaroff not appearing in the graveyard) “he can run but he can never hide, he’ll have to be dealt with/disposed of *can’t remember the exact wording but it was one of the 2* and Dumbledore said later in his office to Harry & Sirius that Voldemort won’t forgive them not appearing especially given he/Voldy believed when Snape didn’t appear “one I believe is gone for good” but obviously the double/triple agent plan schemed with Albus & Snape worked PERFECTLY Snape even explains what happened at the very start of Half Blood Prince when Narcissa + Bellatrix pay him a visit, Narcissa obviously desperate for Snapes help to save Draco and Bellatrix attends 50/50 for Narcissa’s back up/protecting her but equally as vital to Bellatrix is interrogating Snape which that chapter in the book I re-read this morning and OH-MY-GOOD-GAY-GOD it’s one of the BEST most flawlessly crafted scenes/segments across the entire Wizarding World Series!
