I think you're pretty much spot on for your repair cost. One of my tractors got run over in a truck stop parking lot in Indianapolis in 2018. The damage was similar except everything was pulled out instead of pushed back. All the coolers, front axle, steering box, hood repair (fiberglass) etc. was over $30k in 2018. This was on a 2016 Cascadia. Luckily, all 5 of my tractors have dash cams. The other "driver" left the scene but the dash cam caught him... (mega)carrier name, tractor AND trailer #s. Also, Cummins power all the way for me...even in the 2 KW T680s that I just upgraded to this year. X15 @ 565hp/2015tq, Eaton Ultrashift 13 speed and 40k Rockwell 3.58 rears. I've heard rumors that Cat is working on a new on road engine that will pass emissions without def and dpf. If that happens, it'll be a game changer! Trump 2020! Wasn't Kamala the name of one of those big time cheatin' rasselers (WWF) back in the day?

I was just told back up alarms aren't required on a truck unless u on job sites. Its a osha thing. Guy I took for a cdl, truck didn't have back up alarm, he mentioned that to state inspector and that's what he told us 🤷♂️

Seems like he’s making money. Running new trucks 24/7 and only doing few repairs here and there ain’t to bad. accidents happen

Personal Assistant can also be considered a "Butler". LOL. In CA, your own insurance cannot ding you for a not at fault claim. The fault, 51% or greater, in CA goes against the driver and it follows the driver, not the vehicle or its insurance rates. Also, if you don't get enough compensation for your at cost losses and the other guys insurance limits can cover it all, you can simply file either small claims or a suit in municipal court for the difference. Yes it will take some time and a few more dollars however, sometimes what is right and just has to happen to insurance companies who simply won't listen to the real world dynamics of business losses at real world numbers, not an average cost that includes high and low business volumes. You should be able to claim "Its our high business time of the year" not the low time of the year that these losses took place and get the high time numbers not subject to the low periods.

One thing for sure, if the Dodge has insurance, you can claim the 30 days loss of income or rent another dump truck, which ever is less. All you have to do is prove or display that you have the work/business yet with one less truck, the loss is there. Simply pull the files on that trucks past jobs/driving and they aren't going to have much to doubt. Hopefully the Dodge has enough liability PD coverage to pay for it all. You also can claim the load waste and having to arrange to dump and dispose of it. Or....just say ok, you don't believe my records, just pay me for the cost of a dump truck rental for 30 days. I'm sure they will suggest some of your other trucks could "fill in" for the one truck however, the key is to show all of your trucks generate income each day or at least have an average income per month of X dollars. Another viewpoint is, say "I have a truck payment of X per month and a driver who's paid X per month, how do you think that overhead got paid?"
