What a giant work you did! thanks so much! The 3rd file rook Koyan Style is included in the stadistics or nobody plays it? ¿Or maybe Manabe Style is the same system with another name? And another question... Around minute 11 of the video you speak about the problem of the 35 pawn that sometimes can be attacked by the right silver and a retreating bishop and can´t be defended, but couldn´t it advance to 36 defended by the rook? Thanks again!

Thanks for watching this video soon! Koyan style and Manabe style are quite similar, so my understanding is when Kou Nakata (Koyan) plays Manabe style, it’s called Koyan style. About 2nd question, I guess you mean the rook of 3rd file could exchange pawns at 36 before being attacked by right silver. The answer is yes, after exchanging pawns static rook side will drop a pawn at 37, and rook back to 31. This way is one of nice way to protect 35 pawn.

12:05 One interesting point about the silver position is that left silver been able to goes to 57 is the reason that ppl start to dislike fourth-file rook anaguma and go for third-file rook anaguma: since the silver can goes to 37 from 57 in two moves and form a big four castle if the static rook side insists on making his own castle as hard as possible with the classic 44 silver and 42 bishop plan for the static rook, the game will likely to end in a repetition draw in that way. But for fourth-file rook anaguma, the silver in 67 needs four moves to go to 37 so the static rook side can just go for big four castle naturally and claim a slight advantage due to the slightly better connection of the pieces in the castle.
