Great Show! Can't wait for each episode to air! The only criticism that I have.... I struggle to tell the characters apart. As a westerner, I struggle to differentiate between the names and the faces. These KZbin reviews are integral to make sense of all! Love the content!

I enjoyed the episode. We had some big development of sexual tension with Anjin and Mariko. I had no idea what way that scene would go. And Mariko negotiating for the rate just added to it. Also,we finally learned what Shogun actually is and means. Some big developments and sets up the remaining episodes.

Yeah the next few eps should be amazing. We’ve had a lot of build up and this is the point in the book where it really solidifies itself as one of the best stories out there!

Although I liked the scenes about crimson sky and also Kiku, I didn't really love the rest of the episode. I think the best scenes overall were the flashbacks though. They explained a lot in a short time.

Yeah I feel the same, it was kinda a boring episode. There were too many pointless scenes. Hopefully it was one off and next episode goes back to the Shogun we all love !

Around chapter 37/38 but it doesn’t matter anymore. After the latest episode they’re pretty much doing their own thing with the show. If you want to read the book you’d have to start at the beginning or you’d be confused due to different character names and changed events.

this episode didn't do much for me. was annoyed when mariko said, 'don't make a scene'. it's too bad they don't show how he and his consort bonded. and etc. Oh, black and marik's relationship is just weird here... she's being quite bitchy.
