We all want to see shohei pitch for the dodgers ⚾🔥💙

Exactly ... Shohei not having the passion in Pitching is a total BS. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY a Cy Young Caliber Pitcher does not have that passion to pitch ... Shohei wants to be a two-way player and that is exactly why he is a 700 million global icon. He needs to pitch and, to be honest, he needs to win a Cy Young to truly surpass Babe Ruth. If he does hitting only, then he is just a great hitter. One clearly can argue that Judge, Soto, Trout (few years ago), or Harper are better (than Shohei) in hitting.

ohtani's biggest stint as a pitcher was closing the wbc title game vs team usa for japan, seen by 150 million t.v. viewers. there is just as much need for bullpen pitchers as starters in the majors if he chooses to go there

Ohtani should become a Mariano Rivera type CLOSER... fewer pitches less stress per outing... 15-25 pitches~ 2-4 times a week~ It's a no brainer. That's why I thought of it....lol.

I think it’s crazy for him to stop pitching, but I think it’s even crazier to ask him to keep pitching full seasons and in the playoffs. This isn’t the Angels, Dodgers don’t need him to pitch and hit all year. It would be much better for his arm and the Dodgers if he played the first half of every season as an outfielder and then started pitching around July every year. That is the proper way to use him. His value to this club will be in the playoffs.

Shohei said last yr he doesn't know how much longer he can do both But he plans to as long as physically possible. I think probably about 4 more years . After that he could play on the field. Currently has outfielder and 1st baseman glove in his locker. In HS played on infield.

As a kid I used to dislike the Dodgers. However, as of now the Dodgers are and is an excepcional organization: not only they have the resources to sign all star players but also are very good in developing young players who become good players, and also help veteran players to reflourish their carreers. For me, Shohei signing with the dodgers was a no brainer, they were the only true good choice for him. Dodgers being this consistent and very good team is, I think, great for baseball, it helps in growing this beautiful sport atracting potencial new fans and future young athletes. Keep it up the excelent work and class Dodgers!!! Also thanks for your commitment to offer quality baseball across the game. I wish the team I cheer on and other small market teams learn from the Dodgers.

Ohtani is not going to come close to breaking the home run record. He has 184 home runs and he's been in the league for 6 seasons. He would need to average over 50 home runs per season for the rest of his career to have a shot.

Ohtani is deferring his salary for 10 years without interest, so it's probably just under $500 million after accounting for real inflation. And considering the huge advertising revenue that goes into Ohtani's Dodgers, as long as Ohtani doesn't get hurt, they'll be able to recoup it.

Do you even baseball? Pitching doesn't matter? Pitching is everything, Pitching keeps you in the game because by your logic losing by 3 or 4 runs is evident you can never have enough pitching.
@MichaelPascoe-ru3rr
@MichaelPascoe-ru3rr 4 ай бұрын
@@sithman5000 why are you chiming in with negative energy. Simply saying that you can have a solid rotation and bullpen but it wouldn’t mean much if you can’t score runs. All an opposing team has to do is score 2 runs and take the win. Come now any fan knows pitching is very important but scoring runs is as well.
