Whether Shohei Ohtani was complicit in this gambling scandal or not.. no one is willing to discuss the real issue with the scandal. Japanese culture or not, the interpreter has to go. He is a de-facto handler and can cause more problems than anyone else in their lives. 6 years in the U.S. there should be no need for a handler. Take care of your own affairs.

Most of the time, whenever a celebrity/athlete pleads ignorance… they’re most likely complicit. If the interpreter did what Ohtani said that he did… that means the banks and their checks are faulty, the bookie didn’t do his homework and Ohtani is like a child in a bubble. They all can’t be true.

When it doesn't make sense, it probably isn't true. This whole situation smells fishy. I don't believe for a second that Ohtani knew nothing and had $40 million dollars taken from him. Either he is the biggest fool, or he is a liar. I lean towards the latter.
