I love how this highlights one of the most important *intangible* benefits of going to the best college for you - the people and the powerful connections you make just for going to the same school. I can't even count the number of times our alum group has come together to change lives! So happy they're reinstating the sports teams, those college years are really a great time of explosive growth!

So what happens to all the male volleyball players that signed up to go to other schools? Also, they lost a year of recruiting new players. How do you think that will effect the program? What about staff? Did they find jobs at other places and now have to chose either to keep new jobs or go back to Stanford?
@bel13veintheprom15e3 жыл бұрын
The Stanford Daily (student newspaper) reported most of the staff chose to stay with their programs

Great stuff on getting volleyball back! And a really good job in mentioning the credits to Stanford for actually listening and being willing to talk about the situation. That on its own seems like a quality that would make Stanford a worthy place to go!

Thank you guys so much for answering my question about the scholarship situation. It doesn't really apply to me as I'm a German graduate student but I'm always fascinated how people deal with not only the double pressure of being a student athlete but also the financial situation. As someone who pays less than 500$ in tuition per semester the American system is crazy to me 😅
