An 85-year-old Idaho woman stands as a shining example of courage and the power of the Second Amendment after defending herself and her disabled son from a violent home invader. Armed with a .357 Magnum, she kept for personal protection, Christine Jenneiahn refused to become a victim when a would-be killer invaded her home near Blackfoot, Idaho.
The assailant, 39 years old, stormed her home in the dead of night, handcuffed her to a chair, and subjected her to brutal violence, including threats to kill her. But Jenneiahn, undeterred even after being shot multiple times, used her firearm to end the threat in a decisive act of self-defense.
Jenneiahn’s story underscores the critical importance of the right to bear arms. Despite her age and injuries, her determination to protect herself and her family exemplifies the necessity of having the means to defend one’s home.
The harrowing event began when Condon broke into Jenneiahn’s home, pistol-whipped her, and demanded to know where her valuables were. After forcing her to sit in a chair at gunpoint, he left the room, allowing her a brief window of opportunity. Dragging the chair back to her bedroom, she secured her revolver and strategically positioned it near her in the living room. When Condon returned, furious and threatening her life once more, Jenneiahn took control of the situation by firing two well-placed shots.
Although injured in the exchange of gunfire, Jenneiahn survived while Condon collapsed and died in her kitchen. Left bleeding and still restrained for 10 agonizing hours, her strength and resolve kept her going until her son was able to assist her in calling 911.
Jenneiahn’s bravery and commitment to survival are a testament to the critical role the Second Amendment plays in preserving life and liberty.
If Condon had survived, he would have faced charges including attempted murder, kidnapping, and aggravated battery.
Instead, a law-abiding citizen stood her ground, proving once again that responsible firearm ownership can be a powerful equalizer against those who seek to do harm.
The video also shows why I shamelessly tell people to get self-defense insurance through a membership like USCCA.
With a USCCA membership, you make two calls if you're in a self-defense shooting. The first one 911, and the second one will be the 24/7 emergency support team who will literally guide you through the unexpected realities of a self-defense situation.
On top of that, you'll get access to an entire legal network of lawyers who not only specialize in self-defense cases; they specialize in self-defense cases in your state!
I work with USCCA because I believe they have the best all-around membership on the market, but even if you don't choose USCCA, choose something because you might be alone if you ever have to defend yourself, but you don't have to be alone through the legal process.
I think USCCA is the best, which is why I work with them, and they do offer my followers special FREE bonuses to become a member with a 365-day money-back guarantee.

@@jarnosaarinen4583 well, i don't know in exactly what way he's disabled, but clearly such that his 85 year old mother felt like she was the one who needed to protect him, rather than the other way around. the burglar might've beat him further when he found him, and, since he gave the phone to his mother instead of calling 911 himself, i presume he also can't talk. i find it plenty believable that it could've taken him that entire 10 hours to get up the stairs and give her the phone, depending on the specifics of what the invader did to him, as well as what his condition was before.

@@jarnosaarinen4583 .. The incident happened during the winter .. So it being cold probably saved the woman’s life .. Slowed her heart rate down so she didn’t bleed out .. Our enemies said, “They will not know or see until we come among them, kill them and put a stop to the work.” When the Jews who lived near them came and told us ten times, “They will come up against us from every place where you may turn,” then I stationed men in the lowest parts of the space behind the wall, the exposed places, and I stationed the people in families with their swords, spears and bows. When I saw their fear, I rose and spoke to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people: “Do not be afraid of them; remember the Lord who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives and your houses.” When our enemies heard that it was known to us, and that God had frustrated their plan, then all of us returned to the wall, each one to his work. From that day on, half of my servants carried on the work while half of them held the spears, the shields, the bows and the breastplates; and the captains were behind the whole house of Judah. Those who were rebuilding the wall and those who carried burdens took their load with one hand doing the work and the other holding a weapon. As for the builders, each wore his sword girded at his side as he built, while the trumpeter stood near me. I said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “The work is great and extensive, and we are separated on the wall far from one another. At whatever place you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us.” So we carried on the work with half of them holding spears from dawn until the stars appeared. At that time I also said to the people, “Let each man with his servant spend the night within Jerusalem so that they may be a guard for us by night and a laborer by day.” So neither I, my brothers, my servants, nor the men of the guard who followed me, none of us removed our clothes, each took his weapon even to the water. - Nehemiah 4:11-23 *EVEN TO THE WATER* *REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND*

@@danroffee4904- Other evidence does show that the .357 has a 96% chance of stopping someone with one shot whereas the 9mm comes in at a 80% chance. The .357 is designed as a hunting round with more speed and foot pounds of energy delivered. A low end .357 round will outperform a high end 9mm. The only way that they are close to being equal is by handicapping the .357 to a low pressure round and a snub nose barrel vs. a full size 9mm with +P+ rounds. The .357 as configured for hunting has double the powder and almost double the foot pounds of energy for standard 9mm. Most bad guys aren’t buying the best ammo available for doing crimes.

Reminds me of a story I read years ago in shotgun news. There was an elderly lady who was using the ATM when an armed robber tried to force her to withdrawal money. She reached into her purse and shot the perp 6 times stopping the threat and potentially saving her life. When the police asked her why she shot the perp 6 times she replied that's all the gun held. We need more constitutional carry and less gun free zones.

I love this story because in a world where guns didn't exist , she would have no chance against her stronger opponent , but because they do exist and she was allowed to have one , she lived , and thats somthing the anti gun lobby could never twist because even without an armed intruder she would of been in trouble, the gun was undoubtably the equalizer, the gun saved the day

Of course they can twist it. They'll then go on to call her a "far right extremist" and whatever else they can get away with, which is just about anything nowadays. Never underestimate their ability to flat out lie and make up "context" to create whatever narrative they need.

In her later years (her late '80s to early '90s) my Mother lived with me. Our family on both sides never just put the old folks in nursing homes and forgot about them. We younger ones figured out a way to take care of them. Mom was an old "Country Girl" and grew up knowing how to use shotguns and rifles, handguns were new to her. The first time I had to leave her alone overnight she asked me to leave my 9mm with her and show her how to use it "just in case". I did, showing her that the mag was loaded, and how to change mags (I left her a second one). I also showed her how to use the thumb safety and made sure she knew it was off. Of course, I called her a few times before I got back home to make sure she was OK. I was a little unsure being without my 9mm while I was away (I wasn't going to be in a "dangerous area", but you never know). I DID carry my .22 Magnum "pocket gun" which can be plenty lethal in a pinch... Remember "When seconds count the cops are only minutes (or hours) away" ...

This happened on our side of the state (Eastern Idaho). One thing not mentioned is that Christine had had previous interaction with the Perp through her Pawn Shop, which is where he most likely got the idea that she was a "good" and easy mark. Also, her disabled son wasn't exactly in a position to help his Mom out due to his disability. What's truly amazing is that at the ripe old age of 85, she was able to survive, despite suffering multiple gunshot wounds, and laying for hours bleeding. She very well should have died. The perp was a local man. He, of ALL people, should have known that, in Idaho, the lion's share of people WILL be armed and willing and able to use their firearms. I think it speaks to the desperation of the perp that, in spite of all of this, he STILL thought that he'd be successful robbing her. He could not have been more wrong. It turned out to be the worst decision of his life. Recounting this story still elicits laughter and derision for the stupidity of this man, and a deep respect for Christine.
