Tyler is a great example of not obsessing over trying to emulate a certain style of photography for others approval. Just go take photos and have a damn good time doing it. ❤

Exactly. While I love being inspired by others I tend to use it as fuel to get out enjoying photography rather than style emulation (although I probably do that subconsciously)

I don’t know if Tyler will read comments but I’m always curious what motivates photographers to simultaneously shoot a scene with multiple cameras. He has the 6x6 and 35mm, and I imagine for composition, but why not just crop with medium format? There’s no rational answer; I’m sure it’s just preference, but wondering if he could give his perspective.

I'm starting to like these newer videos where it's not necessarily your typical street photography locations or centered around subjects/people, but more about the environment. I was skeptical at first watching the video, but ended up loving it by the end. Thank you, Paulie!

Omg he's like a child at heart. I really admire his inquisitiveness, imagination and gentle demeanor. When I started watching this and grasped what he preferred to photograph, I didn’t think I'd like it but after a few minutes in, I do!

Nice to see someone shooting at a “slower place” in the heart of the New York there’s always something happening so it’s easier to take pictures. But shooting a quiet place you have to consider the scene more. Side note - always shocked when that deep voice comes from Tyler 😂

This channel is so, so fucken good. Thanks Paulie B. It’s so nice to hear about people speak openly about their creative process. You don’t even need to be into street photography (or photography in general) to connect and relate to the creative process, how to define your own voice authentically, and dealing with creative road blocks…. A few themes I find present amongst all your interviews.
