As somebody who used to be a serial shoplifter before he turned 18 (I hit for over 10k in my 12 year career) Target isnt the only place that does this with the fake cameras and target is actually known for having better security than most stores, this was a complete coincidence that the cameras didnt catch anything, probably because they were in a weird area with nothing worth stealing like in the cereal isle as he said they were in I dont recommend this but if your gonna hit a lick, realize that the cameras dont stop you they just record you and that the store employees arent legally allowed to touch you or they will get fired, plus most of them dont care and neither do the costumers, understand that you will be recorded but this isnt the future and facial recognition software sucks and isnt utilized for petty crimes like this Number one rule for shoplifting is be fast, dont panic and pace back and forth through the isles like an idiot Get in Grab items Get out Thats how i never got caught
