I have not played Sniper Elite 5 yet, but 4 definitely expanded on the premise. Larger sandbox, Hitman-lite style missions more comparable to Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts, though SGW Contracts 2 is the peak of the "slow mo sniper kill" genre. Also being told "Get ball shots to prestige the Lee Enfield" was one of the funniest progression screens I have ever seen in a loadout menu. Also also, shooting a guy's grenade on his belt was always great even if it was on accident.

Oh yeah, Sniper elite is my favorite action stealth and sniping series, WW2 sniping and infiltrating places from North Africa 1943 to the fall of berlin/Operation paper clip. Edit:Also L badger cause Karl is actually a interesting character and guy while he looks cold and distant whenever he ends up having a potential friend or comrade they end up dying and the guy ends up trying to keep a distance with anyone and prefers doing things alone, he has some funny lines in Sniper elite 4 like when he uses a satchel charge on a cemetery to find intel he says “Alright I’m definitely going to hell”. The Professional (A content creator) explains Karl Fairburne better. Also Sniper Elite is the series that came with the “Sound Masking” system which is inspired from enemy at the gates where you gotta be near a generator or near a loud noise where a sound Icon will appear meaning you have the chance to off someone from a distance without revealing your location via sound. 2nd edit: Also sniper elite 4 adds more and is more open and lets you tackle objectives and side objectives with more freedom and the hand to hand or stealth kill takedowns are more brutal and currently there are 5 sniper elites. Edit 3: Canonically the series goes from 3,4,5 to 2 or Sniper Elite V2 which is set in the fall of Berlin and you get to kill two sides of two Ideologies i dislike, Fascist and Communist (Germans and Russians). Edit 4: I get this is a old ass video from Badger but man as someone who likes the series it aged like milk he didn’t continue the series and as a fan of the series its an L.

I remember a game, Aegis Wing, a 2D ship shooter with unique Co-op mechanics where you could combine, making limited power weapons more powerful and allowing 360 aiming instead of forward aim only. The game was free and it's back-compat. 360 era was just different.

Another genre that severely needs a shakeup is the sports genre. It's the same game every year, just with maybe slightly improved graphics and a few new players. Me and a friend were talking about this a few days ago, and one idea I had was to make an RPG like sports game in the vein as Persona. You'd pick a team to join, but instead of going from game to game, you'd get the chance to run around one of several hub cities with your team, allowing you all to dine out, practice, or head to the casino or arcade for some fun. By doing so, your bonds and relationships strengthen, unlocking new formations and activities. I compare it to Persona's companion systems from 3, 4, and 5, whereby engaging with your fellow players allows for each one to be fleshed out while rewarding you in the process.

@BramTheDemon Oh 100%. Angry Joe's yearly Madden videos are wild to see how bad sports games are. I played Madden 2004, and it's wild to consider how feature complete that game was in comparison.

1:19 I want a game set in the Pacific and Asia, I am fucking tired of only (like Northern and Middle) Europe dominating WW2 games, hell at least Sniper Elite 4 shines a spotlight on Italy. I swear I can't remember the last time a mainstream WW2 shooter had levels set in Italy. Also can I wish for games set in Korea and Vietnam, the WW2 market needs to lay fallow for a few years.
