You didn't do the slow motion with the cam as titled, you only trimmed, the slow motion was done on your computer so it contradicted your title.

Bob- the 95s are great when you are pulling the video off - its snappy but on the camera the 45s and the 95s perform very similar and no difference for video. I grab two of the 32GB Extremes. You can get about 44 minutes of full HD on a 16GB card.

60p playback isn't supported. KZbin converts (not conform) your 60p to 30p. By using that 'cloud editor' you are simply slowing down 30p which is why the quality is 'choppy'. Better to conform 60p to 30p on desktop then upload for smooth slow mo.

Ah, I was wondering why my slow mo videos weren't as smooth as I wanted. Was doing 60 fps but had my shutter speed at 60 instead of 124! Forgot about the doubling rule of thumb. Thanks!

You can actually do some video editing with CS6. All the free options I know about are not very user friendly. What about iMovie for your mac, it is affordable.

Hey Toby, is it recommended to shoot an entire wedding on the Canon EOS 650D ? Can the camera get any damage ? Running hot or something...

+mihai0377 A wedding on a 650D? You need to have much better gear to be doing weddings, most likely 2 dlsr bodies, 1DS or 1DX and a 5D Mk3 maybe a 24-105 L lens or a 24-70 L, and a nifty 50. Speed lights are also needed. Just shooting on a 650D most likely guessing your talking about the 650D, you probably have the kit lens which is also not recommended. For weddings you need a shit ton of gear.

***** 6D could work nicely or a 70D if you want a camera around the $1000 mark that could do weddings nicely, and you can get a 24-105mm f4l pretty cheaply too! Hope that helps

PhotoRec TV: is it possible to do slow-mo on camera with out the need of doing in youtube? yes I saw you did slow it down a bit but can it be slow down even more? also was wondering if one is able to do slow-mo and also keep recording and go back into normal mode recording? reason asking saw this in a documentary the person recording did a slow-mo, then set it back to normal mode, then he did a reverse and forward, but I don't know if thas even possible to do all in a camera? it be great if possible hope you understand my question, and thank you much for sharing.

I did just find this on a YT support page. "Content shot in 720p60, should be uploaded at 720p60. Content at 1080i 60, should be deinterlaced, going from 60 interlaced fields per second to 30 progressive frames per second before uploading" Interesting.

As far as I understand, the shutter speed should be EXACTLY the same as the FPS when taking video clips. 30 FPS = 1/30 sec, 60 FPS = 1/60 sec. In that way all the time slices are used to capture the frames, and the moving objects will not jump between frames, since the time a frame stops being captured will be the time the next frames start being captured.

It doesn't have to be. It all depend on if you want the motion blur or not. For slowmo you might want to increase the shutter if you want the slowmo to be without any motion blur.

liren gao No... The Most popular shutter Speed at filming are 180° ... so for 30 ist would be 1/60... Big movies are filmed in 24fps... The t5i isn't even able to film with that slow shutter Speed. (1/24)

Its tricky and results are very mixed. That's about all I have to say - sorry. I just haven't done it enough because it is a pain and again results are just not that impressive for the amount of work. It can certainly be a fun project that pays off if you have the patience.

Thought the tips on the settings on the camera was great but using the you tube editor was kind of silly, its very basic and i don't believe needed to be that walked through, plus use even a simple editing program such as windows movie maker its free and you can adjust slow mo to any percentage you want as easy as typing it in.

It can only shoot up to 60 FPS on a DSLR because if you were to get a higher FPS then it would cost a lot more , than the average price of a DSLR. 60 FPS isn't even that useful for film and things like that. I don't know many people who like 60 FPS, so I can't imagine anyone liking a higher frame rate. We're all used to 24-25 FPS

Key point here is to make sure your frame rate is twice, or 125th/sec as stated. This avoids the jerkies and smooths video. Also, it does matter what camera you are using. They don't use the T5i to film any productions. They use professional cameras like the 7D and 5D mkII for the Tim Burton stop action films. Unfortunately the T4i and T5i cameras are weekend/housewife cameras...they look like a DSLR, and might last a year. Get the real deals - 7D's and 1D's for sports and wildlife (8 and 10fps); get the 5D's and 1Ds's for full frame landscapes, portraits and studio photography. If you have kids, you're going to need the 7D or 7DII. Do not waste your time on the "starter" toy DSLR's...You'll BE SOOORRY!
