The doctors told me that my son was going to die, and I went out to the car to scream, to pray. I turned on the radio and it was Bob singing: You're going to make me lonesome when your gone. This song reminds me of my son. The doctors were wrong, my son lived another 15 years until he passed away.

One of Bob's most touching songs - very sad but words of hope with the touch of God.

I have absolutely no hope 2 years later. My younger daughter has been mentally ill her whole life but she convinced the police after convincing Sutter Hospital where my husband of 60 years was a patient, that I starved him and didn't provide shelter and they believe her and sent me to a mental hospital where I was told by the psych that I have delusions and am schizophrenic and starved my husband to marry a famous person who promised he wanted to marry me after I was widowed. I lost Power of Attorney and am in hell.

I know a lot of people (including me, if I'm honest) miss Bob with the harmonica holder, blasting away on that thing like it was a ventilator, but this video impresses on me how much of a BETTER harmonica player he's become. I've seen him in concert three times, and when he ponderously shambles over to the wings to pick up a harp, he plays clean and well. I recall reading a story about Bob playing harmonica in a show with the legendary Sonny Boy Williamson back in the early '60s. Supposedly, Sonny Boy admonished him with, "Boy, you play too fast." I think, many years later, Bob took that remark to heart. A lovely, understated solo here.

Certa vez minha mãe me deu um disco do Bob Dylan. Musicas como Ring Them Bells, Most of the Time e etc, são obras primas.

"Shooting Star" Seen a shooting star tonight And I thought of you You were trying to break into another world A world I never knew I always kind of wondered if you ever made it through Seen a shooting star tonight And I thought of you. Seen a shooting star tonight And I thought of me If I was still the same If I ever became what you wanted me to be Did I miss the mark or overstep the line that only you could see Seen a shooting star tonight And I thought of me. Listen to the engine listen to the bell As the last fire truck from hell goes rolling by All good people are praying It's the last temptation the last account The last time you might hear the sermon on the mount The last radio is playing. Seen a shooting star tonight slip away Tomorrow will be another day Guess it's too late to say the things to you that you needed to hear me say Seen a shooting star tonight slip away.

I'm sorry for your loss. When I was young, I thought I wanted to live forever. As I get older and lose friends and family forever, I don't think longevity is all it's cracked up to be. I turned 60 on 12/9 and it's taken up too much space in my head. Maybe I'll settle into it after more time.
