Dear Andrew, this is one of my favorite performances of this song. Dylan changes it into a completely different song and it is even more beautiful, to me, than the original. If that's even possible! Thank you ❤❤❤❤

Absolutely immense song.Wonderful version shown where. Once in concert, I remember seeing him do it a cappella. He walked up to the mike, bent over and laid his guitar on the floor of the stage, stood up, with a wave of his hand silenced the band, and sang a heart wrenching version of this song. He never misses with this masterpiece.

That was 30 years ago?! Yes, I know. I then thought his late stage has begun. But that was before TooM... And another 30 years before that - I remember well. Seems I'm getting old. Play on, Bob!

I think his 'late stage' may have started with Rough and Rowdy Ways. But there may be another 'late stage' in a few years!

Crazy, they guard footage like it's gold. Issue the Unplugged rehearsal. The audio has made it out, why not the video. Issue the Supper Club Shows, same thing, we have the audio why not the video? Is he going to have more fans twenty years from now? Eat The Document .. the bootleg version stinks, let these see the light of day!

I think that this version was remodelled after him hearing the version of this song during the Madison Square Garden Bobfest concert, where Sophie B. Hawkins did an excellent very moving highly emotional version of this great song…

Crazy they omitted this one. Bob and the band could not have been better. Every part of this performance works with an intimacy only Bob can give so sincerely; strong and tender at the same time! Gorgeous acoustic guitar too! Love and miss Bucky and Winston! 🕊️J.J. & Tony so lovely and the organ is beautiful adding another dimension of sound that in no way clashes with Bucky's steel. Thank you so much Wools! ❤

it is really good, his singing his good (and i didn't like the voice onhis other unplugged versions very much), the arrangement is very tasteful. but still: in nearly all of his later stuff i miss the casual, sessionlike, somehow improvised approach of the 60s and 70s bands that make the whole songs-in-performance more intense for me. this is beautiful, but the playing is too clean, like most of the newer Americana stuff. It must be a cultural zeitgeist thing, there is no doubt that these musicians could do this, in principle.

There s been a much better version than this one, the 78 one, without percussion nor drums, which took you by the throat, as well as the tangled UP in blue of that year, especially in Europe, a part of that tour which would derserve a many cd box
