Amazing Peter! You are a master of light and beautiful female imagery. Paris, such a historic place to find both beautiful women and beautifully soft old architecture. Happy travels to you both! 👍 😊

Trying to decide whether you are a great photographer or a phenomenal selector of models. That’s too hard for me, so I’ll just go for the tie. Tess did a great job. Both cooperative and proactive. Not to mention beautiful. Bec’s video was about the best yet. Thank you to all.

Many thanks for this backstage session. -- @Bec: Many thanks for opening a closing the session. Congratulation for this flat you rented when you were in Paris; the design is excellent. I don't really understand why you (and Peter) say "little tiny". In Europe you will find really small flats, and this doesn't seem to be the case. -- @Tess: Many thanks for posing in this session, you are an excellent Model. I am glad you met again Bec, since she said, in a podcast, that you were friends. It is good to meet friends once again. -- The games with the mirrors is excellent because, specially when the Model can be seen from different angles, from reflection, in the same view. -- @Peter: I like a lot the photographs that have the buildings, outside, as background. Not only because the windows of the building provide a regular patterns, but also because so much light behind doesn't blind the photographs. I think the 1st idea that would come to my head, if I would take photographs with this light conditions, would be to have the light in front and never behind. But you are doing also this latter options, that is a risk. -- @Peter: you are #1 in photography, but you have to admit that Bec is #1 in video. -- @Tess: When you go out to the balcony, with heels, and you lay your hip on top of the handrail, it produces on me a lot of vertigo. It is good you don't feel the same. -- @Bec: you are a 5stars girl, this is what the reflexion of the mirrors are saying, at the close of the session.

Amazing shots Peter as usual !! Do you find Leica lenses make a real difference for these kind of portrait shots or would have achieved the same results with your trusted Hasselblad or even Sony that I see you using sometimes ?

Always great to see pro using prime lenses. Seems like all your photos are shot in landscape. Do ever shoot in portrait orientation? Lately I’ve been shooting in landscape to give that sense of the model in her environment and cropping to portrait mode later if desired.
@PeterCoulsonPhotographer2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I look at the world in landscape sh I shoot that way, my clients can always crop to what they want :)

How did you get the model exposed perfectly without over exposing the background chronically when she was on the balcony? Thats a mystery to me and the Video camera certainly didn't cope well in that regard...

Hi Peter, At 9.09 the backlight is very strong, which post processing method do you use to bring up the facial exposure, radial gradient, raising the shadows etc
@PeterCoulsonPhotographer2 жыл бұрын
Did you see the stills at 8:50 they are previews straight out of the camera.
@MikeT-yy32 жыл бұрын
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer I appreciate that they are straight out of camera, the image of the models face at 8.50 is rather underexposed, hence my question on your post production correction

no masks just adjusted shadows and highlights a little on the cover photo

Peter, why do you prefer manual focusing?
@PeterCoulsonPhotographer2 жыл бұрын
because auto focus doesn't let you pick what you want to focus on, like a wall, or check or an arm
@dikasths2 жыл бұрын
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer Thank you for your answer. Most of the times, you want to focus on the face. Isn't the auto focus doing a good job then?
