This is the only film photographer that I watch that acknowledges the sketchiness and "unsafeness" I feel trying to take film photos at night in neighborhoods as a photographer of color. Thank you bro

This Trailer Park Was Lowkey Spooky...I Love It 😂 As A Photographer, There's Always That Moment Where You Think Someone Is About To Confront You In A Really Crazy Way After Taking Certain Photos You Never Know How That Shit Is Gonna Pan Out, But We Document Anyway...Cause This Work Is Important Keep Shining, Man 🙏🏾

I love how he also shows us the process of him fucking up as well like he's saying " yeah I'm good but I fuck up sometimes too" that's why you practice and keep going to master whatever it is your doing. Vuh is just a goated individual.

You're a wizard for getting such good exposures at night without a light meter haha also night photography with a rangefinder is a challenge for sure! I've been shooting most of my night stuff on a Canon P and focusing can be TOUGH
@Adrian-wd4rn3 жыл бұрын
Not that hard with 800 iso film. Just err on the side of over exposure, bring it down in post. 3-10 seconds around f-8 with iso 800 is enough to expose most scenes.

Bracketing in tricky light situations is the smart thing to do, no need to apologize about it. Especially with 35mm film, you have so many exposures on a roll of film, you are MEANT to bracket and work the scene.

Yo that lighting in the background was CRAZY.

In the future, if it's dark and you're trying to focus a rangefinder, shine a light across or into the RF/viewfinder area if the camera. This will illuminate the frame lines and RF patch so you can focus. Then turn the flashlight off and take your shot.

Focusing a rangfinder at night can be hard, but you can very easily use zone focusing. If you're shooting at smaller apertures, just set your camera so that it focuses all the way to infinity. For shots like this where nothing is closer than 6-10 feet, it'll be in focus.
