Good intro to Live Composite that I plan on trying on G9ii

I was aware of the term, but not what was. Pretty magical, actually. Thank you for the clear explanation. No lightning where I live, maybe thunder storms every couple of years. I’ll have to imagine how I might use this feature.

Thanks. I never realised I had this feature. Definitely a must for lightning photography and a whole other new world.

Your channel is quickly becoming my favorite one for my Lumix camera. The intro music always gives me a start, though. :p

Thanks Andrew, haven't played with it yet on my G9m2 but got some good fireworks shots with my G90 last year in Japan.

Thanks for your Video - just one comment for your Introduction: LIve View Composite is also available on the Lumix GH52 (not GH5)

I should mention that the function is on GH5 mK II as well 😀

Andrew - the images you are achieving with the G9II just look excellent. They seem to be a step up from the G9 and difficult to distinguish from S5/II. The colours and DR just seem to make them ‘pop’ compared with the G9. Does this accord with your assessment to date?

A great tutorial. I have used light composition on my Lumix GX9 (which also has Sequence Composition) and on my Lumix TZ100. I have also read, on page 241 of the Lumix G9 (mark 1) that it also has light composition.

Are the gaps in the star trails from the G9II or S5II, are they more significant with one camera than the other?

Is Live View Composite useful for blurring water features - eg, surf, river rapids or waterfalls - if given a sufficiently long exposure time?
@naturesimagephotography7 ай бұрын
As far as I can tell, the fastest shutter speed I can use in LVC is 1/1.6 sec. In daylight, if I shoot at ISO 100 and close my aperture right down, the slowest shutter speed I can get is around 20th/sec. So using LVC on a bright day would lead to overexposure. I would try it in the rainforest on a cloudy day for a waterfall, but other than that it really is more suited to night photography.

I have a few lenses, but for this video I used the Leica/Panasonic 12-60mm.
