I haven't really flinched at anything you've done so far, and I honestly hate leaving comments like this, but that guy was right about using the saw fence while cutting long thin pieces. You've been very very lucky. I'm not saying you stop, but just be damn careful. When you've been woodworking for a long time it is easy to shrug things off, but cutting that way is one of the biggest risks in woodworking. If it does happen, I hope you don't get seriously hurt.

The shop is looking really good! Should make working in there much more efficient! The grey floor is a cool idea, might have to do that in my shop when I get back to working in there. Keep up the great work, Doug! Still think the dust collection system under the stairs would be a good use of space if you can make it work. You could put the router over by the bandsaw and have short runs to the dust collection system.
