You know what? At first I didn't think I'd like it... but once the truck was sprayed, I fell in love with it. It's Krylon pistachio - in satin. Walmart use to sell it, but now I had a hard time finding it. I wanted to do a touch up recently. Searched everywhere and found it at a True-Value store.

They're a 15x10 Bart steel wheel on 195/45 Proxy tires. You have to find a tire shop that's willing to stretch them. It's a huge stretch. I believe the install at the tire shop is on the first truck video that's on my channel.

what kind of paint cans did you guys use ? i have the same truck , how can i prepare my truck for paint?
@BeardedPandaProductions4 жыл бұрын
We actually used Krylon Colormaster. Prepping: prep the body as far as dents and rust. Primer (this one already had 2 coats of primer on it when purchased). We used an orbital sander starting with a 220 grit. Wipe down with paint prep. Painting: getting a super smooth, non-streak finish... takes some painting skills. Basically try your best to lay each pass of paint slightly on top of each other to reduce over spray and streak marks. If done properly, there will be no need for wet sanding nor clear coat. We like to use a satin finish. It's easier to lay, gives a really nice finish, and has the flat effect without the dry look, and reduces streaks

@BeardedPandaProductions4 жыл бұрын
@@unseenhero7498 Good point. I'll definitely keep that in mind for the next spray paint video. We paint often. Using satin paint is the best route to go. The likelihood of getting spray lines is reduced. If you want to have a clear finish, it's better to spray clear over a flat or satin. Let me know if you have any questions that I can try to help with
@CarlosCaterpillar20043 жыл бұрын
Over spray 😞
@BeardedPandaProductions3 жыл бұрын
We didn't have any over spray lines. As long as you lay it wet and run 50% over lay stream, it'll turn out smooth. After it dries you can wipe it with a rag and soap and water or prep sol if needed in areas. We just used soap and water.
