Hello Jimmy, thanks for the video I had already tried replacing the strips for my led TV before watching this video, please how do I reorder the 3 layers of defusion for my Bush 49" led TV LED49292UHDFVP

Doesn't removing part of the white reflector panel change how the picture will look after the repair is done? If it would not hurt it, it seems like the reflector panel would be designed so that it would not cover the LED strips.

I would imagine so. Especially if you're replacing all 4 strips. You should probably find a way to glue or double strip tape them back to get proper brightness. Everything you change inside does make a difference, I've had experience. Even a wrinkle in the paper could make a "dirty screen effect". You'll often find dim spots in the four corners too since it's a bit of a distance from the LEDs.

You really don't have to do a full replacement on this model. It's not the backlights that are dead, its just the connection between them. If you press on the connector between the two parts of a light strip they will turn on. All you have to do is bypass that connector by soldering two wires connecting the plus and minus bridge over it. This model has some really hearty backlights but a bad connector in between them. Also you do not have to cut the reflector sheet, just unscrew the pegs and it peels right off.

Great post, I have the Insignia 50", I tested the power board connector to led cable and am not getting 5v labeled next to pin#1 , it's only about 1.5v? Any thoughts?

@@hawaiiguykailua6928 Did you test every single led with a multimeter to see if you get a faint light in it? Once they are all good, or shorted the tv turns on usually.

Weren't we supposed to be living in holographic TV land by now? Great vid, but we're so far behind the last civilization that built these cities its laughable.

I have a TV here that's less than 2 years old from its manufacture date. The back lights are dead. Really? Throw away a 1.5 year old TV?
