When you get a saddle it’s important to make sure you get a saddle that is meant for the discipline like if you do barrels find a good barrel saddle read the tag because just because it looks nice doesn’t mean you should get it because western saddles are much different than English

I think you should get a 5 star pad! Its pricey but gives a HUGE relief on the shoulders, and will make your rides better overall. Also when picking out a western saddle make sure to get the correct discipline saddle! Its very different from english!

Just a helpful tip, you could always just go and get a plain button up shirt and dazzle it up your selves or send it somewhere to get it dazzled up. WAY cheaper. Also, make sure to get black jeans to show in. You could also get dress pants, but I find them slippery. If you get chaps you could wear black leggings underneath. Makes it wayyyy cooler

when looking for a western saddle depending on what you, try to find something regarding a western work saddle they are larger and comfy. try to stay away from barrel and cheaper saddles because they don’t fit the rider and horse as well and aren’t as comfortable for daily riding. if you want a barrell saddle then i would recommend one but try to go for a work saddle, reining and pleasure saddles. i recommend circle y, billy cook, etc. i have a nice custom miguel aguilar work saddle and i love it but they are very pricey.

@@DayByDayVlogs work saddles are definitely the way to go! you can pretty much do anything with them and they are extremely comfortable, durable and they have that all around type. they are often the rough out material and a light tan colored.

the greatest thing about western gear is you can get all matchy and a bit blingy. Swat is great. I use it their the head.

SWAT normally you only use to keep bugs out of cuts etc. I always use the Green bottle of wipe that you first showed, it is the only thing that works to keep bugs off for a while! Typically would apply in the morning before turnout and it would keep flies off! Also in Ontario, Canada.

Try this fly spray it's called persevering 10 it's for livestock and premise spray for horses, poultry,swine,sheep, goats, beef and dairy cattel it's really good I use it on my horses and it lasts

If you guys want a new saddle pad, I recommend a 5 star. They are a little pricey. But they are amazing and will last or something at least similar to it. Ofc tho get what y’all like and especially what the Storm would like

@@DayByDayVlogs Like I said they are a bit pricy, The cheapest one I’ve seen was around $200-$250 but if they taken good care off they will last well over 2 years so you definitely getting your moneys worth

I think that Chino has a problem of being spoiled. He has been so used of having the girls to himself and Gabby to that he doesn’t like to share. I believe no matter what gelding is introduced to the herd he would react the same. Poor Storm gets blamed for Chino attitude. Storm is where he needs to be and chino needs to accept that. Please don’t remove any horse from your farm. They are where they all belong and loved

Sophie and I share a birthday and my horse Niko and Gabby share a birthday!!! I show POA (Pony Of the Americas). At POA breed shows I wear a black zip up with a teal scarf, black chaps, black jeans and a black felt hat. This is a great inexpensive and classy look! I would 10/10 recommend this since Sophie is just starting out. My show pad is from The Bling Boutique. I live in the U.S. so I’m not sure if they ship to Canada but their pads are SO pretty and a reasonable price. You can pick any assortment of colors. My horses show color is teal so it matches perfectly! As far as saddles go, you could go the expensive route with Dale Chavez show saddles, or Harris. But since she is starting out I would recommend a rough out training saddle. Mine is a Dakota and I got it used! Definitely go with the cheaper side of things unless you are prepared to pay thousands on clothes, tack etc.
